May I ask what mileage your brake light came on? I’m at 35k (2013 63 plate) and planning a Euro trip in May/June. Still on the 1st pads & discs all around so wondering whether this might be a must do item...
Just hit 37k. But have PTV which probably wears them quicker.n4aat said:

Appearances can be deceptive. Take both of those cars on a trackday and your AMG brake pedal will go soft after a couple of hot laps and lose the brakes completely if you carry on. The boxster on the other hand will go round all day with just the need to rest the car between sessions.anonymous said:

very true and now the 718 has massive brakes as a result, the 987 and even the 981 suffer from heat and pedal travel if used hardit's about the best thing they did to the 718, fitted bigger disks and calipers !
look at the track cars they all have 6 pots and 380 or 420 mm disks.
Give George a call from here.
He always sorts my brakes out no matter what car. Has always been unbeatable on prices too.
Just recently ordered from him myself. Sebros discs, Textar pads, sensors, dampeners and fitting kits.
