Hey,

One of my dash lcd's is damaged, and that's the one which shows the mileage.

Took the car to a local Porsche specialist, asked to took through MOT too and if they can read the mileage through computer. They read it easily through computer and said they are going to liaise with MOT folks.

Came back to get a MOT certificate with unreadable mileage.

Should I be bothered? If yes, any way to fix this? We are talking about 68k miles at present.

Thanks

By the look of pics it is probably just a screw bulb that are pennies to replace and simply twist into place.
I had exactly the same thing on an E36 M3 years ago

Have been told by both Porsche & DVLA that changing the mileage on the MOT database is not permitted.

Still trying to find a right of appeal at the DVLA but they seem very slow to respond.

I know this because the MOT station recorded my chassis number as the mileage on my 981...
