tbh....if anyone jumped into anyones car, they would potentially abuse it. No need to worry about tyres, fluffed revs etc.

To put it simply, for peace of mind.......buy a new car (if u can)

Theres always another car on the market and yes, you are correct in saying theres no concern if you have warranty - life should be stress free.

If you plan to keep it short term.....have the warranty and enjoy.....if longer,,,get more warranty and enjoy...simples really

but so does every demo, and Porsche make 2000 of those a year, and no one cares and they are run every day from cold for 3 months.

A press car is not going to be cold for long so the next person is going to get In a warmed up car.

buy a 2nd hand London car and it may have been mistreated for 3 years as a lot of people just don't care and 85% cars are hand backs.

I think if you thrashed my car for 5 minutes it would make no odds over some one doing that for 3 years !

My lease car was not great after 2 years, but I floored it from cold every day, who cares. it had an open diff and it just bounced off the limiter trying to gain traction lol why let off just torque steer down the road on WOT !

buy a car from a women who goes up hills in 6th at 15 mph and does that every day for 3 years with min oil in it !!! lol

I think press cars are in better nick than most cars I see about, people today have no clue how to drive, they ride the brakes ride the clutch, never check the oil, I would hope a press jurno could at least drive it.

only way to buy a car with no history is buy new, or buy a 1 owner car and meet the owner in person, I have seen track slags at OPC's with wreaked tyres up for sale a day later with new boots and low miles , no one is any the wiser after a new set of boots, I know loads of track slags end up for sale at dealers lol

And I have seen how most women drive ! one lady owner f**k that ! I have rich mates who buy news cars thrashed from cold they don't know any different ! its the play station age sorry to say.

Agreed. If you get a press car you can be pretty sure it's not been treated as well as you would have wished. If you get a car with a number of owners you are still likely to be in the dark BUT if you are in the market for a fairly new car and talk to the previous owner (if you can) look at the service book, the ODB readout, and take a very critical look at the car you have a much better chance of getting a car that has been well treated.

Well that Cayman you bought did not turn out too well in the engine dept did it.

All I am saying is every 2nd hand car can be a lemon, people think because a dealer sells a car it has zero history. The only way to have a car with zero history is buy new or private meeting the owner.
