Bought a Cayman already hoping it arrives this week, never been into soft tops so Boxster was never an option.
Enjoy !!

a week after placing a deposit on it, its still sat at the original dealership, surely by now the supplying dealership should of at least attempted to get it to them, wouldn't mind but the dealers are about 1 hour apart.

Stolen this photo from the Video Porsche sent me! annoyingly its still at the Porsche dealer than it was traded into, not at Silverstone. Was hoping to have it next week but it looks unlikely now!

Looks like my car has an almost identical twin a few thousand miles away!

ohh post pics man?

Finally got an update, its still at the dealer because it requires a new windscreen, which will be done Wednesday, then it will be transferred to supplying dealer for cruise control and ceramic coating.

Very little chance of it being ready this week. So 3 weeks from deposit to collection is looking likely now.

Yeah i bought the cayman to mess around a little on the track. I also own a 997 RS, amazing how much easier the Cayman is to use and drive.

My 2cents: consider getting a 981 Boxster S instead of a Cayman. I also started my search on a Cayman until I realise you get a lot more for your money on Boxsters as they took a larger hit on depreciation before Caymans do, and then stabilise. The main difference is the rigidity of the chassis, which I (ok, I’m no PRO) could not tell. The other added benefit, is to put the roof down, specially in weather like this !

Not feeling obliged to put the roof down in weather like this is an advantage! I speak as a 15 year convertible owner prior to my Cayman.
Ah... aircon on max. Bliss!!
Roof up aircon? Look like a tt.

I confirm this is the case
Feel obligated to open roof in the sun which is too hot so end up using my other car in the heatwave. I swear if we get another heatwave I’m selling the Boxster.

Thoroughly enjoying the car in this weather!
Had the roof down at every opportunity (except when parked up biggrin, ) air con and the ventilated seats on (which are brill!) ... just loving it!
