How often and when do you use sport plus?

Very, very rarely. I'm not a track driver so on the road it's seldom used unless it's a warm, dry day and the roads are quiet.

A couple of times when first got the car just to see how unsociable it is. Then all the time on a track day (I'm not down with the flippy flappers yet). The sport button is plenty enough for me on the roads, sport plus is great on the track though and I'll only be using it there from now on.

zero, sport is enough for fun auto driving, manual is better for fun than sport plus which on road just holds onto the gears for too long ALL of the time, manual gives you much more control.

I use it when I want a spirited drive home (so at least two or three times a week) but usually drop the PASM to normal as the roads round my way are terrible. I also push the pdk into manual for greater enjoyment.

I'm using sport+ every day. I must admit I'm enjoying the downshift rev-matching, and the pops and crackles on the overrun. I don't heel and toe on public roads in case I cock it up, and sport+ does it for you if you are braking into a bend.

On my 991.2GTS COUPE PDK unless i was stuck in traffic i mostly had the lever in 'MANUAL' mode and in Sport Plus..Sport Plus in auto is way too aggressive and anti-social but works brilliantly in Manual mode.
An added bonus is there is none of the fake crackles and pops which is frankly ridiculous when in 'SPORT' mode.

Every weekend down some great roads....it’s absolutely superb, much more pliant and useable than extreme settings on the likes of M-cars.

On euro trips, when on my own, weekend hoons with mates I use sports+ and manual. Never use it in auto mode.

On my CR I never used it .. but I did use Sport all the time.

Sport + was too harsh ... when you are driving fast the last thing you should do is unsettle the car ... and when you are driving slowly it's not required. Sport felt very crisp for everything smile

Only once or twice just to see what it did. Then never again.

It’s not nice though in a 6sp GTS.
All the throttle at the top of the pedal and the auto rev matching are horrible things!

Sport is ok and slackens the very severe aides a little.
It still adds artificial throttle pedal effects, but at least I’m aloud to mostly ‘do the pedals’ myself.

(Sold now anyway)

Never use it. PDK gear changes are too harsh in Sport+. It jerks me around too much.

Always drive with the paddles though. Feels odd just allowing the auto to change gear.

Sport plus is unusable if you leave the box in auto but its OK in manual mode (PDK obviously). However, I could do without it and quite frankly I wouldn't spec sport chrono again as I think the normal and sport modes are enough on a daily road car.

I use it when pulling away from lights if I need some extra punch. I get a noticeable extra kick when upshifting with the paddles which feels good,

What is the advantage of Sport+ in manual mode over normal Sport mode? Aside from launch control.

Full control over the gear change timing - can hold onto the revs a bit longer?
Not sure that's more efficient than what the PDK box does itself, which may be more optimal - but might not "feel" as good

Relaxes PSM a bit more, it may also activate the dynamic transmission mount (on 981's), switches PASM to firm, further changes to gear change/throttle response (?).

Gear changes are quicker when using the paddles and sport+. As a result they feel harsher or some may say more savage.

I only use sport+ on the track. Even the owner's manual says something like "Sport+ is when driving is done on the race track". biggrin

Stick it in Sport + when using manual. Much quicker response to the paddles.
