Hi Guys
Over the winter my 987 Gen II had a complete flat battery. I have since reconditioned/charged (CTEK) it and all is good.

However I have no sound from the radio/cd. It has the Bose sound system.
Everything works on the display, but there is no sound.

Can someone guide me on fault finding please?
Happened after the dead battery so might something need a reboot?
Thanks

Possibly the amp. My car has the same problem and is having the amp replaced tomorrow.

Thanks for that. Any idea how to test if it is the amp?

An easier question:

Where is the amp on a Bose sound system in a 987 gen II?
Anyone know?

Thanks
Paul

When my amplifier was playing up it would sometimes come back into life when the car hit a bump in the road. I guess a connection was loose or something inside.

Replaced under warranty.

Thanks everyone.

Found it under the driver's seat. Now to try and find out what is wrong....

Just thought I should close this thread off with the conclusion.

The Bose amp was under the driver's seat and had been immersed in water!
The roof had leaked at some point.
Porsche decided the safest place to put a box of expensive electronics is in a sump on the floor of a soft top - no guessing where any water collects.
I am going to fit the replacement above the sump rather than in it.

Very hard to find a replacement s/h amp, but eventually found one in the USA and it is on its way over.

The sound of the engine is much better than anything on the radio anyway :-)
