Hi all, looking for advise please. My battery is completely dead I have looked in the handbook about unlocking the bonnet. My fuse box for some reason does not have a positive terminal A or a plastic gripper.
So is there another way of getting the bonnet open to charge the battery?

Thanks.

Also the car is in the garage tight up against the wall so no access to the alleged wire under the passenger wing.

The terminal pulls out. Can be done without the little yellow puller.

Good evening,
I had identical problem with my 996 Gt3. Easy fix, I had a optimate charger and just bought a new end for it so could charge the battery via the cigarette lighter and bingo job done.
Hope this helps.
Alternatively I think you can remove the panel carefully that covers the boot releases and get to the cable under there and pull open!
Good luck but I'd go with my first suggestion....

Porsche sell a battery conditioner that charges through the cigarette lighter as it is a permanent live which could help if you are leaving your car.
I can’t remember if some had a black terminal on the fuse box instead of a red one?

You should get one of these as Porsche ones are ctek

Thank you SET3 it worked perfectly. Just put this adapter into the cigar lighter and added a battery charger and bingo the bonnet opened.
Battery now on charge and Trickle charger ordered.
No need now to take the car apart!!!

Thanks.
