Another query please:
I had a clunking noise for a while now coming from the front of the driver side.
I thought it was to do with the shocks. Took it to my local OPC, as the car is under extended warranty, and they found nothing (other than a nail in my brand new tyre frown ...!).
Today I felt the clunking noise stronger, and it feels it is coming from behind the steering.
I think it happens when the car is warm/ has been driven for a while.
Has anyone had a similar issue? If so, did you find a solution?

Thanks !

Gt4s clunk on pot holes. Does the noise happen during a suspension shock?

As a suggestion - record it.

If some of the suspension parts are rose-jointed (ARB links, perhaps), it will be normal.

Thank you. It happens even when not driving over potholes. The OPC checked the shock area and found no issues.
I have the feeling is coming from the steering column. I tried to record it with my phone, but it’s difficult to hear when playing back due to engine and road noise.

This is a long shot, but I regularly 'feel' a very slight bump or two when I rest my foot on the bulkhead under the steering wheel while coming to a stop. As the fuel tank is in front of the pedals I believe is the movement of fuel as it only happens when the fuel tank is 3/4-1/2 full.

It puzzled me for a while but all made sense when I took the location of the fuel tank into account.

If it's an audible clunk then I doubt this is relevant but hope it helps nevertheless.

Thank you ! I’ll look out for it in my next drive. OPC said to bring it back for a further check.

Hi,

Just a suggestion from experience, but get them to check the Top Mount Rubbers..

Checked it and it is not the same as noted in the post description. Thanks for your advice anyway !
