Good time to buy a gts now as they have levelled out price wise with 64 plates below £50k at opc's now

That's one car and it has 44k miles. The next price up is £56k and it has 18k miles. GTS prices are the same as they've been for around 12 months, very steady.

Any cars with odd spec or higher miles are always cheaper.

Mileage has to be around 5k to comand that price now whats the point of buying a car and not using it?

Ted I think you’re forgetting that the 981 Boxster GTS was cheaper than the 981 Cayman GTS when new, the reverse situation of the 718 GTS’s. For some reason the 981 Cayman’s are seen as way more desirable too and that is reflected in the price. There also been an influx of higher mileage GTS Boxsters into the Porsche Approved Network.

Not a significant difference in price on either model looking at Autotrader, lowest now sub 50k and average in the 50s somewhere, all spec and mileage dependent.

Any well specified 981 is a good buy imho, the GTS just isn't different enough to have a different curve over the car it's based on.

Low cost 718s hitting the market will start to impact 981 values a little, i think the enthusiast will grow to like the manual 2.0l too.

Can't speak for the base model, but on the 718 CS I had the PSE was worth my money.

Yes going to Sport mode adds a lot of the drama on the overrun, but PSE deepens the sound, and made it more throaty. Always had it on.

I had it on all the time. But I only found it to worth it's money in tunnels & underground car parks, window down, only when rev'd in 1st gear to 6000+ revs then for the brief back fire, but not in any other situations.

I always drive in Sports mode with PSE on in my 718. It doesn’t make a tremendous difference in volume. Having switched it on and off a lot the only difference I’ve noticed is that it’s more burbly at low revs and the bangs on overrun are more pronounced. I’d rather have it than not, but there are options I prefer more, which I would tick before that. I’d still spec the dual flute sports tailpipes if I didn’t have PSE though.
