As well as being factually wrong your example, IMHO, only proves what I stated...... but the next time I’m in the passenger seat with a professional driver I’ll ask him how many years it took him to get to know the car lol
In my competition days it took me around 2 years but I still won races during that time. No passenger seat. Now, as has been said, stop sniping and goading. There's a good chap.

we know you like it, but it's the least fun Cayman to drive ! due to the 2 reasons I stated. long gearing with less torque and crap EPS.
it is what it is and you love them, but it's like saying black is white with you some times. A Cayman R makes a 981 feel like a Audi, I won't say VW as my Golf CS has more feel than a 981 ! great chassis ruined by gearing and eps which then just makes it a nice car but very much more suited to PDK.
Absolute nonsense, I've owned the 981 2.7 and driven the 981 GTS w/ both PDK and manual boxes. These cars are very quick, basically they have detuned base 911 engines in an arguably superior Cayman chassis. Car and Driver clocked a manual 981 GTS at 4.1 secs 0-60. I ended up with one of these, and it's fantastic fun to drive. I prefer it to my previous 997 C2S.it is what it is and you love them, but it's like saying black is white with you some times. There is one for sale but too rich at 63. 16 plate done 4K. If it were at a Porsche dealer id consider although I'm not that fussed about white. Will have to compromise no doubt but I'm not in a major rush. Just missed a superbly specced Agate car at OPc Bournemouth but the figures didn't work on their offer for my 997. I generated an additional 5.5k on my private sale. Test drove a nice Saphire blue manual GTs 718 but without starting a sound debate, the flat six sound is essential for me. I'm off to the Alps in August so would like to get one by then, otherwise I'll be taking my e36 M3, possibly my wife's edition 40 golf if I dare.

I thought the GT4 was a great little car and, at its price point, preferred it to the 996 GT3 and 997.1 GT3. An easy car to live with and very accessible on track.
However, in the UK, I only ever drive a car when I have to, and getting increasingly frustrated with the seemingly worsening road conditions - the congestion, pot holes, roadworks, noisy asphalt, slow vehicles, speed restrictions..... none of which allow the GT cars to really shine.
I've always liked the 981s, and the GTS is a particularly nice package and a really sweet road car - even on our compromised roads. Interestingly, actually prefer it with PDK.

Sadly I have to agree with you regarding driving here in the U.K. - to the point i’m seriously pondering the point of having a sports car at all. Bad roads, bad inconsiderate drivers and congestion. Being actually able to go out and enjoy a sports car is rapidly becoming the exception rather than the rule. Certainly PDK makes it more tolerable. We have a new Golf GTI as well as our BGTS and whilst being nothing like as good to drive it is a lot less frustrating
