986 Boxster Roof

I bought my poverty pork last summer, 986 2.7 Lapiz blue with 70k
New roof fitted in 2013, in pretty good condition, but over the last few months ive been having intermittent issues with it either not going down, or not coming back up.
Usually i can drive it down the road, put on the handbrake and it will work OK.
Currently the roof is down, and will not go back up. Doesn't matter how many times i press the micro-switch or put on the handbrake, all of my normal hacks do not seem to be working.
Fortunately the car is stored in the garage at the moment, so ive got some time.
Before i remove the cover and have a look tonight, Does anybody have the same experience, and is it a "simple" micro-switch fix?
