I'm thinking of booking a last minute trackday at Bedford tomorrow but the PSE on my 987 Spyder seems to be stuck open. Any chance of passing the noise limits there? Does anyone have any experience?

Thanks

You may just about make it. A friend with a Cayman R and PSE on did not trip the meters when we were at Zolder (92 db driveby) where as my GT4 with PSE off tripped them every time! i.e. the 987 PSE is much quieter than the 981GT4 exhaust.

Thanks for the reply, I've decided to book Brands Indy instead just to give me a bit more margin. Fingers crossed driving

Brands can be as difficult as Bedford re: noise. I've taken a manual 981S with PSE to both. Have had noise warning boards but never black flagged. Main issue actually seems to be throttle blipping on downshifts. Suggest start steadily and build up the revs to avoid smashing through the noise limit straight off the bat - MSV tend to be pretty intolerant of that approach, for obvious reasons. Enjoy.

Well, no issues at all. At the noise test the Marshall even commented that it was quiet for a Porsche confused

Not a bad day, but it never really dried out so couldn't really push. Too many red flags though, including a spinner on the sighting laps and someone not securing their bonnet before heading on to the track, resulting in a new windscreen!

PSE on GT4 makes no differences as the valves open up regardless. Just adds some cracks and pops when lifting off.
