The Boxster front end is identical to the 911 which is rear engined....I don't think it's got anything to do with the design wheel arch intrusion at the front to be honest. And that theory wouldn't be relevant to our two Porsche SUV's. As I said it happens on all our cars in winter Cayenne, Macan, 991.2 GT3, 718 Boxster and 997 GTS. On the first two which we run winter tyres on it disappears as soon as the winter rubber goes on....and I don't notice it on any of the cars in summer at all. Now the warmer weather is here I'll see if it does but I suspect I don't do much manouvering at walking speed at full lock.
The scrub/wheelarch intrusion issue afflicts the 911 for exactly the same reasons (and has been discussed ad nauseam on Pistonheads). Cayenne, Macan? I honestly can't say though it may be a just a common design issue. But what I can say there are other cars (which I have owned) such as the Elise or Alpine which don't suffer from the problem. I have explained why wheel arch intrusion is not such an issue on the Alpine. In the case of the Elise the lack of a central "transmission" tunnel means that the pedals can be offset to the left a little AND if you have owned an Elise you will know that the turning circle is HUGE for such a short car, so that limits wheelarch intrusion significantly.Edited by bcr5784 on Friday 19th April 21:36

Great spec. Have seen your colour/wheel combo in the flesh, looks lovely!
I came from an M235i... you will not be disappointed. Look forward to some pictures
I’ll be honest, the M2 Comp ran it close. I came from an M235i... you will not be disappointed. Look forward to some pictures
There was a 2017 S in the showroom when we signed. Looked great.
981 Cayman S
Jag F type V6 S
Alfa 4C
F** M3/M4
M2
Had wanted a Porsche for some time, so I guess I was just doing my due diligence. Bit of a BMW fanboy, however, the F Type V6S is some package!

I’m not surprised, big improvement over the standard M2 IMO. I was tempted buy a standard M2 but wasn’t different enough to my M235i to warrant the extra £25K. My list of potentials started out as:

Jag F type V6 S
Alfa 4C
F** M3/M4
M2

The cars I’ve driven all pick-up well torque wise..... but still worries me a bit. This will be my first auto too.
