great Twinfan, enjoy your gt4.
42k is good value...
yes 981 gts are selling, and are selling properly.

I've just been to my OPC and £42k is what I got for my car. Job done, especially considering it isn't currently under the extended warranty, is due an MOT and four year service soon. It also doesn't have nav, so I'm glad I didn't waste £2.5k speccing it!

My GT4 is now in the UK and I'm looking at a mid-March collection date.
That’s funny.... I’ve just driven my 981 Spyder home from work and was thinking to myself... I’m so glad I didn’t spec that horrible sat nav for £2.5k. I had it my 987.2 and it looks rubbish.

Anyway hope you really enjoy the GT4.
I’ve now got one alongside the Spyder and it’s definitely a different sort of car.....
Both very cool cars :-)

Cheers! So much for "you must have nav for resale" eh? wink

For 981, what visual difference is there between nav and no nav?... you still have the PCM screen right? you just have a button that doesn't work. or a blank.
Unless you're actually saying you have PCM delete - in which case you have a hole in the dash?

I had the rear camera, so the identical unit that PCM has just with no nav. So the nav button did nothing, otherwise it looks identical.

One of the best reviews i've seen so far... apart from a few inaccuracies like... multi-link rear suspension.

I saw on this car spotter Instagram account some Spyder photos so thought I’d add some visual content to this thread. Not a spec I’d go for but still looks good....

Very similar to what mine will look like. Not sure if that is Carrera white? Mine will have black door handles, black Porsche badge and white 718 Spyder badge.

Yep cant go wrong with a Carrera white Spyder.

Contrasting black bits and platinum wheels timeless imo.

Yep, Carrara White Metallic. People need to see these Spyders in the flesh to appreciate how good looking they are, especially the double bubble with the roof down. The proportions work well and I think it's one of the best looking GT cars available. (Better than the Speedster - imho, of course)

You are absolutely correct.

I saw one for the first time in the flesh last week - OPC Solihull - in GT Silver - what an absolute beauty !

Pretty much perfect design I reckon.
