Ireland only has one OPC, and aI was lucky to get the only 2019 slot (although I won’t be picking it up until Jan, as it arrives late Dec)... and as far as I know they only have 2 slots for 2020.
they get new slots every 3 months.
Every OPC in Europe, or the UK?

Every GT car or this GT4?
Definitely the UK but probably for all of Europe...typically get slots in mid November for Q1...so about six weeks before every quarter starts.

Well I did my PEC today in the guards red 718 Spyder ...

In short, I thought the car was terrific and looked and felt very special. Loads of fun, engine felt strong and chassis was great. Obviously quite slippy today but very confidence inspiring and easy to have lots of fun with it. Was nice to try it with roof down as well and was fine in the 5 degree weather, but stayed off the hill and kick plate!

I can’t really offer much of a comparison with my previous 981 GT4, but it felt like a decent step forward (this may just be a placebo effect of course) and a better car than I remember the 981 to have been.

Yes the gearing is long, sound a little muted, and clutch very light, but I enjoyed the more ‘grown up’ feel of the car. I was concerned that I would be a bit underwhelmed/disappointed with it, but I really enjoyed it. I think it will be a terrific real-world road car and now can’t wait for mine to arrive in a few weeks time.

Certainly the Spyder in the 982 version is a much bigger step-up over the GT4.

I saw a 982 GT4 in JCT600 Leeds yesterday and it looked to me like the 981 with a few more plastic trim bits ...

The regular 718 GT4 is redundant for you Chris.
You can check back in when the RS surfaces.

I, respectfully, disagree.

Key issue; 981 GT4 never came with PDK.

718 GT4 PDK is the main reason I bought one, the long geared 6MT 981 GT4 never appealed to me.

By bought one do you mean you have been able to order a 718 GT4 with PDK? If so, when do you expect delivery?

I am assuming you are not in UK ? As I was at “my” OPC yesterday discussing a Spyder PDK and was told that UK launch is expected in late summer 2020. Before then, the 6 Cylinder 718 will be launched as a new GTS model and currently it looks like being manual only.

I'm from the Netherlands, dealer; Porsche Centrum Twente

I ordered a 718GT4, it is a slot ETA june 15th 2020.

The car has been ordered as a 6MT, it will be altered into PDK ASAP. Dealer expects this will be possible 2nd quarter 2020.

If Im lucky it will be one of the 1st PDK versions available.

Similar info from my OPC today.

The 718-6 as we’ve been calling it will replace the GTS with a “hefty” price increase.

OPC had 8 GT4 and 3 Spyder build slots for 2019. Have been told by Porsche they will have larger number of slots for 2020. Haven’t had confirmation of numbers yet but was only expecting a tiny increase.

I wonder what state of tune the 718-6 GTS will come with? 385ish or the full 420?

Got to be getting close to £70k base price then by the sound of it, so pushing £80k with a few trinkets...

Can’t see any way it’ll be the same as GT4...my guess is a £65k base

I'm thinking 385bhp and £68k for the Boxster/£66k for the Cayman. A £5k premium over the F4T.

I don’t think the new F6 718 will be about performance.
It will need to be super quick to be faster than the F4T GTS… think about it....The F4T GTS is faster than 718 GT4. So we are saying this new sub- GT4 will be faster than the car that is already faster than the GT4?

981 GT4 and 718 GT4 0-60 = 4.4 seconds

718 GTS PDK with Sport Chrono 0-60 = 4.1 seconds

I have to say it’s interesting how many 718 GT4’s are already up for sale .The pace of re sale seems quicker that other GT cars to me - maybe people have spent a lot / taken a big hit on PX to get an allocation and they are trying to stem their losses ? frown
