I'm with you boys on that one, 981 Spyder all day long.
I'm debating on a road car again, after a year out with Radical only, 981 GT4/Spyder make the list!
Welcome back to the fold... we forgive you. I'm debating on a road car again, after a year out with Radical only, 981 GT4/Spyder make the list!
Exige 350 Sport
Exige 410 Sport
360 Coupe (Mod with CS bits)
430 Coupe
981 GT4
981 Spyder
Gallardo
570S
As you can tell, I have no idea what I want next. Petrol head problems.
Thanks Chaps,
Likewise I'm hoping for Michelin Cup 2’s on my Spyder but as Twinfan says/after a bit of searching, it appears that there’s not too much between them and the Dunlop Race 2’s.
I found this diplomatic quote from Porsche test driver Timo Kluck:
"Each tyre has their own characteristics. The Dunlop has always been a little softer on the front axle which means improved comfort but slightly reduced steering precision. Both tyres meet the rigorous requirements of the Porsche Motorsport OE program, and as such the performance is nearly identical. Both tyres are excellent".

Dunlops are supposedly a little better in the wet according to AP, and he also stated that they're a little softer/not quite as direct on initial steering feel.
I would say the Maxx 1s on the 981 GT4 are better than the Michelins in the wet but overall the Michelins are a better tyre and better wearing too in my experience.Dont know about the Maxx 2s.
Not that far over list, considering the options?

YT’ber is umming and ahhing over it, even though it’s not what he would spec and worried about depreciation.

It certainly has the big hitting options, but I see it's missing climate, LED lights has the standard aluminium trim, and no other fripperies. https://www.jzmporsche.com/used-vehicle-details/Po...

I was about to post about the Climate Control....I had a Cayman T loan car with the Manual A/C last week. It’s utter ste. Now I know why it’s a “must have”....this might be a focused track car etc but it’s a £100k car and something yo9u definitely want.
That was the approach I took to my spec - it's a £90k+ car so it needs to have things you'd expect in this day and age like climate, auto wipers etc.Manual aircon in 2020? Really?
