The new 718 Gt4/Spyder are here!
Discussion
Nice Carfection Catchpole vid on the new GTS Boxster - maybe of interest to anyone who wanted a Spyder but couldn’t get an allocation.
Also HC manages to sneak in a little bit on a Carrera GTS - what a thing of beauty that is

Is the new 718 GTS contributing to falling GT4/Spyder interest?
It's the way the market is now; back to normal. As has been said, you could get a Gen 2 991 GT3 for practically list, so that will affect every Porsche around it. And wider picture, you have Performante's available for way less than list, which caps GT3 RS prices, and everything beneath it.
Having read the GTS reviews they should have given the GT4 a bit more power to really differentiate it
The good news is nobody should now pay a premium for a GT4 given how good the GTS is. Which is a great as we get back to a normal market where cars depreciate. More supply of great cars for everyone to enjoy

Great that market is returning to some sense of normality and the GTS is obviously a very good car - but I’d still not buy one if I couldn’t get a GT4 or Spyder. I think there will still be small overs & less depreciation, so in truth a GT4/Spyder bought new or at small overs may actually be the cheaper car in real world cost of ownership terms. It'll sound crap versus a 918 though, so no one will buy it
"Once up and running the engine craves attention. It. Sounds. Lovely. Particularly in the Boxster, for obvious reasons, being purposefully gravelly at low revs before the intakes just over your shoulder gargle under load and take advantage of the lightweight internals as it breaks out into flat-six song. It’s razor sharp and wonderfully responsive all the way through the rev band, particularly above 5,000rpm, where, unencumbered by a turbocharger, it rushes headfirst toward its redline."

Would really love a 718 Spyder but getting no joy, however few OPC's have said not a big problem getting a GT4. Tempted to take one up and go for a trade somewhere down the line if more Spyders become available. Based on a few discussions this week there are definitely cancelled GT4 cars coming up.
As with some others here- I’m still after the 718 Spyder........
The new GTS is quite obviously a great car and looks fabulous in python green-
but it just isn’t gonna feel as special as a Spyder and will depreciate more.
It’s like buying an Omega Moonwatch when really you should have waited and
got a Rolex Submariner.

Very nice spec'ed Spyder at OPC... pretty sure they'll do a deal;

Having what was maybe the first 718 Spyder in the UK, I'm throughly enjoying it and intend on keeping it for a while. It's an amazing car, truly and seriously good fun imho. I really can't fault it...

Not cancelling my 718 Spyder order. GTS is going to never fantastic and very close to Spyder experience especially if you don’t like the manual roof. I prefer the look of the rear humps and Gt3 front end and how rare the Spyder will be. I had a 981 GTS Cayman and preferred it because I didn’t like the look of the wing on GT4. But all of this is subjective- you need the love the look.

Shame that it has probably the only 2 things I don’t like but realise all personal taste. . 1. Spyder Classic Interior. 2. It’s black and loses the lines of the car. https://www.instagram.com/p/B7bWn0IpnNQ/?igshid=1r...

There's a similar one (but with platinum wheels and standard steel brakes) on the Porsche Approved website at the Belfast OPC.https://www.instagram.com/p/B7bWn0IpnNQ/?igshid=1r...
