Great looking cars guys!

Good colour choices too.

Nice to see satin platinum wheels which despite the fads are still the best finish for GT Porsche wheels imo.

was the correct colour :-) ie launch colours back in 2015

Can you imagine the state of gold wheels after a track day with proper brakes (steel). Platinum reduces washing effort!
I was half tempted to spec my new GT4 (Guards like yours) with gold wheels but they just look a touch blingy now as the gold is too strong and the wrong shade imo.

I've had numerous Porsche GTs with ceramics and steels every one having satin platinum wheels since the 991.1 GT3.

And yes the shade of the wheel never changes much in colour despite weeks of dust build up from steels brakes.

Congrats. Guards does look amazing when protected and clean. I have gone for black on black (black calipers) but it was a cancelled order. I think i would have chosen your combo if allowed to choose (as no PTS).

Think mine has arrived at East London and is being prepped (ceramic etc). I am currently selling my GT3 (991.1) so I will be waiting a few weeks anyway.
Saw your black car sat next to a white one last week.
You know more than I do then! I will give them a call and find out where we are.

Just thought I'd share the following in case any other Spyder owners were wondering this....

Why does my Spyder have a heated rear screen button when it obviously has a plastic rear screen with no heating elements (unlike the Boxster's which is glass and heated) ?... turns out it is retained solely for the purpose of activating the heated mirrors.

Mine is guards, platinum wheels, steel brakes, clubsport, 918 buckets and pretty much everything else. I’m over the moon with it.
Have you fitted the harness(es) to your GT4? I found out today that the brackets for mine didn't come with the car and they've been out of stock for over a week or so, so I won't have them fitted when I collect the car.

If yours is/are in a box you may want to check that you've got the brackets...

Yes, obviously.
Yes obviously because you're talking about harnesses, but not yes obviously because you don't track/don't ever intend to track the car.. why so get it.
Anyway... don't worry about.... enjoy, look forward to the pics. thumbup

I have no doubt whatsoever that I will thoroughly enjoy owning it! biggrindriving

As for why Clubsport, it's a GT car car so I've gone all-in. I have a real issue with posh-looking comfort-specced GT cars - they're just totally wrong IMHO. Each to their own though, naturally.

I got the brackets in the car, not fitted yet. My car has been at the dealer since January though!
Cool. I'm not sure why mine was missing just the brackets as I have the harnesses, unless the Motorsport department was out of stock for some reason so Porsche sent the car anyway.

A build slot is an allocation. You're currently on a promise of a build slot/allocation. There's another similar case discussed earlier in this thread.

You shouldn't have had to pay a deposit until an actual build slot was given to you. You need to have a frank conversation with your OPC.
Hmm... I'll have to go and have a read back in this thread, I must have missed that, thanks...
I have a "New Vehicle Order Form" from them!
That was me. Im in the same boat. I signed a new vehicle order and gave a 10k deposit with a full spec back in August. I was given an ‘indication’ of March/April for delivery but not guaranteed. I did tell them at the time that i wanted it in the first half of the year but all i am hearing now is that they don’t have build slots and it could be 2nd or 3rd quarter. Ive tried asking where i am in the line but not getting any straight answer. I got more communication from them a few weeks ago when they were trying to sell me a flipped spyder! Im seriously pissed off and currently looking at possible alternatives. I think if i don’t hear anything concrete by end of Feb i will cancel and probably never buy another porsche.
Sounds like I'm about a month behind on your exact timeline and trajectory. frown
At the rate they are going a Griffith will be available first rolleyes
Finally got confirmation of a build slot. I’m being told its May production so early June delivery and i need to lock in my spec now
