That video actually recently popped up in my Youtube recommended videos! I've seen it.
I've got a great relationship with the guys at Fabspeed so I'm doing their headers. A good benefit there is that it's quite easy to swap between straight pipes and cats if you would want to. Should arrive next week, and should be tested on track fairly soon. I'll do a few draggy tests before / after.
Cool. Are the headers 200 cell or are you going decat?I've got a great relationship with the guys at Fabspeed so I'm doing their headers. A rare appearance by a 718 Spyder in the classifieds, 69-plate GT Silver metallic example with low miles at 911v for about £10k over list

A real dearth of supply, this is I think the only C16-spec 718 Spyder for sale in the country at this time.
Yes ... I agree . I was on the Mayfair OPC books for at least a year ... Salesman said they had at least 10 potential Orders for Spiders but no Build Dates .https://www.pistonheads.com/buy/listing/11536536

Admitted that most were the 'usual Flippers ' .... I suspect this is one of them .
Salesman offered a Lottery Ticket for the £ 5 K deposit .... all names into the hat and the first three tickets would get the next Build Slots .... needless to say I declined ... I don't but cars this way . I took my business ' elsewhere ' .
This spec came out as £ 82,535 ( December 2020 ) .... so a £ 9,460 profit if it sells ...... As you say JS .... dearth of supply .
How would anyone wait over a year for a 718 Spyder and then sell for a £ 10 K profit after only a few miles on the clock ..... beyond me !

But it won’t be a £9500 profit unless 911 Virgin are in the business of selling cars at the price they bought them in at. Taking into account the new car VED paid by the original owner I guess the original owner will have just about broke even or at best a very small profit.Admitted that most were the 'usual Flippers ' .... Depends on his relationship with the dealer selling the car. I pay £3k to my OPC to sell cars of any value.Anyone paying effectively a ripoff £8k to sell a rare 718 GT Porsche which will sell straightaway should change their dealer.

You know, the real shame in all this is that whilst genuine people are trying to order this car from a OPC and being told "I don't think so", how about a lovely s/gts, a car here with such a low age/mileage is looking for it's third owner.https://www.pistonheads.com/buy/listing/11536536

So the curtain has fallen on the spec of my 718 Spyder. The stressful saga has ended! I have finalized my spec and emailed the OPC. Thanks to all the experienced helpful people on this forum with knowledgeable answers. So apart from the smaller items such as cruise control/light package etc, the main items are as follows:
Colour - GT Silver
Transmission - Manual
Seats - 918 Buckets
Brakes - PCCBs
Interior: Full leather including Racing Yellow stitching and belts. After seeing Ts car interior photos and a few others, this really grew on me and I changed from the original silver/grey.
It's my first Porsche GT car and I can't wait to get my hands on it!
The car is a June build, The long wait begins........

Sounds like a nice spec - hope you enjoy it
Thanks T! I visited the OPC again after your comment on the buckets. Didn't feel as bad as the first time. Indeed, I actually found them more comfortable/supportive that the comfort seats when I jumped back in the GTi! And as I said previously, during my spirited drive of the GT4, they were just so good around the corners/bends in the road. Hopefully, when I receive the car, I'll share my thoughts with this forum on the options for any other person that may find themselves in the same boat as I was!
On a separate note, it would so good to see other owners photos/thoughts that have ordered their Spyders recently with a summer delivery. I bet they will all look fantastic!

Lovely that, GT Silver with yellow is quite a rare combo from what i’ve seen online, but it looks great. There’s a guy on YouTube with that combo and it’s really smart. I mean, i’ve watched every single Spyder video on YouTube so i think i’ve seen it all. Colour - GT Silver

What trim did you go for? Body colour, leather, or one of the paid options?

Thought it looks great and surprisingly is a free option on the Spyder whereas Porsche charge for this elsewhere in their lineup. Plus it saved a little on the paid trims and went towards the PCCBs!

BTW, snap on the Youtube videos front! Don't think there's a video out there which I did not see on the 718 Spyder and that includes the Python Green one undergoing it's PPF!What trim did you go for? Body colour, leather, or one of the paid options?
Talking about PPF, what's the general opinion on here? Is it worth having or just Ceramic coat it and bite the bullet on any stonechips and get them repaired. I was talking to a friend and was told it can be around £3k for a full PPF and around £2k for partial.
PPF does seem to have become more expensive. The prices you quote are about right. I have been seeking quotes for a forthcoming Spyder and even the minimal front bumper, sills nd mirror caps is coming in at £1200 which is double what I paid for my current 718 three years ago. This is becoming non economic as a front bumper re- spray would come in at less than that so I think,I will give it a miss and take my chances !!
Good to hear others opinions on this.
Believe it or not but the OPC said the same thing on the cost - ie, it's becoming so expensive that I wouldn't bother. It would probably be cheaper to save your money and get a respray done on bumper etc if needed further on down the road. Makes more sense to maybe consider this advice more so as it's a weekend car for me. I think that I would take the ceramic coat route option though. The OPC said they do this onsite. Is it better/cheaper to give it to a specialist or have the OPC do it? Any recommendations from the guys who have had it done along with cost?

This has long been my position on PPF. Unless you care about paint originality, it's a massive ripoff. I appreciate it's peanuts to a lot of GT owners either way, but not for memobil1 said:

For comparison a dealer will spend 4 hours on ceramic coating a car, whereas a detailers will spend 2-3 days, from my perspective it was worthwhile paying the extra as the difference in finish is noticeable to naked eye. I’ll be PPF’ing my 718 Spyder mainly because it’s a paint to sample forever car. Both myself and my father have experienced damage to our PPF’d cars, in both cases it protected the paint but panels were dented but enabled a smart repair to be done and PPF had to be replaced on the affected panels, cost wise it was less than a conventional repair, but in no way offset the upfront costs of the PPF, but cars still have original factory paint. It has been discussed surely before, but I have to ask again, so I'm sorry to bring it up;
The recommended tire pressure GT4;
Front 2.0 bar
Rear 2.3 bar
My car has been delivered with;
Front 2.3 bar
Rear 2.6 bar
I asked the dealer and their comment; the recommended tire pressure is fairly low for street use, better keep it somewhat higher.
Any opinions about that statement and tire pressure? I do not track the car, only spirited road driving.
Thanks for input
