It confirms my thoughts that the 718 Spyder/GT4 are not high speed, autobahn, racing cars, but better int their habitat on B roads.
More the nature of the car I guess, a go kart is not for high speed driving, it is for steering, like the B road in the Eifel, there is its natural habitat, there is where it is shining.
Any alignment changes since collection or still factory spec.? I'm factory but seems reasonably good - Swiss perfectionism may have something to do with this ...

I'm finding even with the dampers in the softest setting the front end is darting around on the rougher roads.
Now I like a pointy quick front end but not one I have to fight and lose confidence in.

Put it this way, a good geometry set-up will never hurt, so may be worthwhile getting it checked and set anyway. I've not noticed any major issues (I get more tramlining in the GT-R, with her wider front tyres) so it could be either a bad surface with tramlines or bad geometry. Cup 2s can be worse for this due to their tread pattern (or relative lack, thereof).I'm finding even with the dampers in the softest setting the front end is darting around on the rougher roads.

As for where to go, I cannot recommend a place as I do not live in the UK (though people have commented about places on threads), but I think that people have mentioned places like 9e (nineexcellence) and, I think, R-Spec.
Post up your approximate location and people can probably point you to your nearest geo-specialist.

As a general comment… Having the kit is not equal to getting a good set up.
Knowledge and experience is most important, the kit is a tool… and you can still cock it up.

I took my Turbo S to Centre Gravity recently and they were night and day better. Wanted to know my driving style, how I wanted the car to feel and really got under the skin of what I wanted from the gel. Longer trip for me but it’s where I’d be heading.

RSV911P has a Spyder with a JCR silencer, Mannylon has a BC Fabs silencer in stainless steel (I think) plus Kline headers and I have a Ninemeister silencer in inconel. There are other posts in the Boxster/Cayman section about them. Not sure if anyone has anything else, those are the ones I remember off the top of my head.

You'd need to speak to Pete there about the exact cost, mine was the development car so I got a deal on it. I seem to think it's around £2500-ish for Stainless Steel and £4000-ish for inconel.It's pretty different in looks and sound to the OEM silencer, but as with most (all?) aftermarket silencers for these cars there is some drone between 2k-3k revs. JCR claim there is zero drone with their offering if it's something that might bother you. It's only a slight annoyance at low speed town driving etc so more of a consideration for a car that's used daily (unlike mine).
In my experience it's hugely changed the character of the car and I love it. It's not so much the extra volume, of which there is some, but it's more the character of the note it now produces which is such an improvement. As standard, there's so little exhaust noise and tone it's very uninspiring but it's great for low volume track days if you're a track rat.

Out of interest, how do Porsche OPC's react to say an aftermarket exhaust if you are going in to have work done under warranty?
