Well it’s is practically brand new, not even run in.It’s a nice car under the lights… happened to see it today whilst on another mission.
Lots of options but missing the top spec lights….

Well my PTS Spyder has landed at the dealer and I am absolutely buzzing. It looks sublime. I was a bit nervous about the choice of colour but not any longer. Azzuro Theyts metallic.
Its a fantastic colour, its a bit bluer in real life that the pictures and it shimmers like its a bit wet. Not as dramatic as liquid metal silver on a 918 but a similar effect. Bearing in mind that that picture is taken on my crappy phone just after the transport covers were removed so its not at its best yet. Its going off to the detailer to be paint corrected, PPF applied and ceramic coated so when it gets back I will try to get some better pictures.
I have a shed load of things to do before its absolutely where I want it to be. Firstly the roll hoop covers are going away to be painted in the same colour as the car. Porsche wouldn't do that on a PTS car which is a PITA, they wouldn't even do gloss black despite it being on the configurator. After that I want to look at all the other black bits and change them for gloss carbon fibre or just gloss black depending on where they are. I am considering getting the callipers done in Azzuro Thetys as well.
Its a great feeling having a car that I love that is going to be unique to me. Made up.
Big M, that looks stunning! However I think I may have tripped over your inspiration? Its a fantastic colour, its a bit bluer in real life that the pictures and it shimmers like its a bit wet. Bit picture heavy this one!
Have collected the Azzuro Thetys Spyder today and had chance to take a few more pictures. It is a great colour, no picture can ever do it justice. Like the name implies it shimmers in the light just like the surface of the sea. (Azzuro Thetys means blue ocean). Its that reflective shine that the camera cannot catch. It really needs to be outside in the light, in the garage under artificial light its not that special. Every single person that has seen it in the flesh has commented on the colour, even in the petrol station. Although its a very silver blue its also got a gold cast in some lights and a purple cast in others. The gold cast sets off the yellow calipers so that works well. I am delighted with it, its been well worth the wait. I loved my white one with the red interior but this is up another level.
I am very happy so far with the spec choices. The 18 way seats are great, I have never had them before, previously buckets all the way, you do sit nice and low in them and very comfy. PDK feels great so far, I like PDK anyway so its no great issue for me Vs manual, to early to comment on the gearing, everything else is pretty much as my last Spyder. I think for me this is pretty much my ultimate Porsche.

Nice colour , and it changes colour in differing lights.
the short plate looks a bit odd and i am not a fan of the black door handles . Sorry.
Need black alloys also imo.
Not convinced by the handles either but Mrs BigM loves them so that’s ok the short plate looks a bit odd and i am not a fan of the black door handles . Sorry.

Black alloys are a complete non starter for me, hate them, so each to their own and all that.
Plates are easily changed, might tweak them a bit, rear plate is a bit short, different rules over here so more freedom to play around.

looks lovely but I am not convinced by the grey interior, or is that black? and if that is black whats with Porsche and their black interiors? its closer to grey.
It’s black but yup a bit dark grey. Not much choice I’m afraid.Gassing Station | Boxster/Cayman | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
