Hi all,
Apologies in advance for the sales ! But I have a JCR titanium exhaust for sale. For Spyder/GT4. Had it on my Spyder for just over 2 years. Its in perfect condition.
I paid £5076. Looking for offers around £3 - 3.5k
It’s the Titanium Race Pipe, Non Silenced, with Inconel rolled tips (silver not black).
I had Jonny at JCR make it valveless for me - so its always on. All the valves did was make it quieter at low speed, something I didn’t like and wanted improving.
I have some recordings, they are a bit rough as I used my iPhone and am no expert, but they do give a nice indication of the awesome sound.
Sound: It’s not too loud. My neighbour told me its still quieter than my last one (981 Spyder, which was stock!)
It does however get louder as you get past 3/4/5 thousand and sounds simply amazing past there. You can also actually hear downshifts !! (Something the standard sorely lacks).
If you owned the 981, I would say its just a little quieter than that. No pops or cackles, but there is a lovely grumble noise.
My neighbour has a M3 with full BMW performance exhaust, and although his is 100% louder, he said mine sounds incredible as it goes higher through the revs, (in his words like a race-car)
Start up is really no different from stock - I had to put the stock exhaust back on to sell my Spyder (I was pretty surprised about this after having the JCR for so long).
Its also incredibly lighter - what shocked me most was how much heavier the car was with the standard back on! It’s a big difference.
Fitting: It’s very easy to fit, its either 8/12 bolts (I cant recall) and if you need, I can recommend 2 places for fitment, either in Woking, or Stratford-Upon-Avon.
I would recommend getting some copper or steel bolts as the standard porsche ones are notoriously crap and last 1-2 years at best.
I cant list it on eBay as they have given me a £650 limit, but I will look at other options (like Shpock).
I think collection would be best (I’m GU47) but I could look at delivery with someone like DHL or DPD. Happy to work with you on that. Its a big box though, so imagine this could be anything from £40-£70 ? (Just guessing here).
To finish, I couldn’t own a 718 Spyder or GT4 without this exhaust on. The amount of compliments was ridiculous, and everyone just thought it was standard. Even had a Porsche Connoisseur type guy tell me it was a truly fantastic modern Porsche sound (he had no idea it wasn’t stock!).
The car was at the Guildford Shere Hill Climb, perhaps you heard it there. Apparently it was on instagram.
Also let my sales guy at Porsche take it out for a spin when it was in for a service and he said they all loved it. “Expensive but sounds awesome”!

Over the last eight or nine months it’s been very much a lottery to whether or not 2022 718 owners would receive their original intended options . The other Spyder delivered to Guildford OPC at the same time had the PDLS+ option removed by Porsche before production could proceed and by all accounts component supply issues still continue . Mine was built around the same time, but I had to remove yellow stitching and PDLS+!
I'll have to wait until I see it in person

It will be a big number. That would look like all of the hours in normal operating range. 77 hours at ~3000rpm. About 41.6 million ignitions. Unless it means 77 hours on the rev limiter, which seems kind of unlikely. I think it has been well treated in terms of revs.I will ask about the number of ignitions in range 1, when I get to the dealer tomorrow.

Only ignitions in ranges 5 and 6 are a real worry. If some in 4 and there is a gap of about 200 hours and you have clear oil samples, then not a worry. And Porsche will put a warranty on.

So it last occurred at around 77 operating hours. (76.8)
Would be good to know the TOTAL operating hours and then you’ll get an average mph for the car but not really essential, and also how many ignitions occurred in rr1… as that’s not on the data you presented but Anyway, the report is clean.
So appears nothing to worry about on engine side.
