The new 718 Gt4/Spyder are here!
Discussion
Well I’ve specced my Spyder, but not it’s not locked down just yet.
Should be here in November/December. I’m really excited about getting the car. I think it will be a fantastic road car, and am looking forward to some road trips in it and to creating a few memories. I’m hoping it will be good fun and put a smile on my face :-)
It’s interesting reading the reviews etc, but I’ll make my own mind up when it arrives.
It’s a bit pricey at circa £96k OTR.
Struggling with colour choices at the moment. Have gone for a bold choice (Miami Blue) but am also tempted by GTSM with the Spyder interior and red roof.
May have to flip a coin ....

not as it stands. maybe in 12 months.
2019 allocations are small, so dealers are telling people they have all sold out !!!
I got on the allocation for the last model. The OPC were always getting my alleged allocation number wrong and far more cars went out the door than they claimed their allocation was so i's always sceptical.2019 allocations are small, so dealers are telling people they have all sold out !!!
Anyhow tks for the reply

Is the new GT4 more attainable from OPC's than the last car?
Apparently all allocations for 2019 (3 cars) and all allocations (no idea on numbers) are sold at my OPC. A friend approached a number of dealers last week looking to buy new and was told sorry we don’t have any available, if offered a deposit each call and none would take it. I think more will land late next year. Porsche911R said:

Place on the list is a moving target, it's certainly not first come first served.
The small number of 2019 cars are definitely allocated, and it sounds like Q1/Q2 2020 as well. Late 2020 allocations may not yet be known, hence dealers turning people away.

There will be plenty of cars q1 q2 2020 pre factory shutdown but likely all 'manuel.'
As expected it looks like standard PDK as opposed to PDK S for later cars. Less appeal imo.
So could be £2500 for PDK as an option in which case even a highly geared mt GT4 has more appeal than essentially a non Porsche GT expensive option gearbox (at this stage imo) on a GT Porsche.
