Anyone gone for Gentian Blue on either their GT4 or Spyder? Need to lock my spec in my Monday on my Spyder and I think I’m going to do it!!
Gentian on a 992 Cab with Crayon leather looks absolutely stunning in the flesh - probably the best combinations I've seen. In the soon to come dreary weather, it may not look as good however I wouldn't let that stop me.What interior would you go for and PCCBs?

That looks stunning. Is that Carrera White?
Is that the Spyder Classic interior?
Yep, it's the Carrara White with the classic interior. I really liked this classic pack and I personally felt that only this white or possible black would suit it. I preferred the steels over the PCCBs which helped match everything up imho Is that the Spyder Classic interior?
I'm a bit out of the loop here. Have people started to get their cars in Europe?
Beautiful car! How's it like??
My USA dealer has not gotten any gt4 allocations yet. I don't know about Spyder but I figure it's roughly the same or maybe they got a couple so far.
Is there a reason you picked carrera white over white?
I like both colors and am on the fence.
I am planning white (since I like flat colors) with aurum wheels.

So, first reactions was wow, wow and wow. After I stopped drooling, I could instantly see the differences over the 981. The front end looks long, aggressive and stylish, but the back end with that diffuser looks next level...just seems to look so low and planted- that with the double bubble...wow. The other things I noticed was how high the front splitter was (atleast a half inch higher than a 981 GT4, not sure about the 981 Spyder) and also the tyres. For some reason I was expecting Cup2s, however, mine came with Dunlop Sport Maxx race 2 tyres. Unsure why all the press cars had Cups but customer cars don't?! I know nothing of these Dunlops but basic research does suggest they can be twitchy on road but excellent on track. Further reading here:

(some 2019 GT3RS (991.3) are coming with these dunlops)
The Interior Spyder pack works well for me but i can see it not working for everyone. It's a pack for a reason with right stitching in the right places. Didnt opt for the red seat belts as thats overkill.
Upon start up - I was underwhelmed. That GPF has a lot to answer for. In all honesty, my 718 gts sounded better. However, when you hit the sports exhaust button, the smile quickly comes back. I don't think anyone will drive this car without hitting that button! It's definitely lost the deep throaty growl but after 5000rpm, the sound is excellent and imho it more than compensates when at standstill.
The drive is as expected. Truly amazing turn in, well balanced and poised with no roll. Exiting out of a corner seemed a little more twitchy than I expected but that's something I need to learn- when to apply power with these new tyres.
The gearing is still long but for most people, it's not issue and the extra torque more than compensates...quite easy to stay in gear in normal every day driving, in fact it's helpful. The clutch still seems heavy which is a good thing and its so smooth during shift. The AutoBlip is excellent and matches the rpms with a higher rev than in the 981.
In summary: the more time I spend in this car, the more I'm enjoying it. It's such a good looking car and better looking than the speedster imho. For every day driving, it works well. It's tame when you want it to be, but very playful when you want to get enthusiastic. I will be doing a track day later this month so I can explore the full potential... whoever has one coming, you won't be disappointed in this package, I promise...
