Depreciation and Buying Guide Boxster 981
Discussion
Hi Everyone,
I made a depreciation- and buying guide for the Boxster 981 based on the UK market. This guide is made for one person, but I think that anyone who is browsing around here might benefit from it. To my knowledge, most of the information in the guide isn't readily available on the web.
You can see the full analysis on youtube by following the link at the end of this post. In short, the guide shows the average price points for the different Boxster models, the depreciation per year, forecasted values, depreciation per 1000 miles driven, the fair purchasing prices, and relative value analyses. One interesting finding is that the depreciation curves for the standard and S models differ significantly for the newer model years. For the older model years, however, they are parallel to each other. Also, in general, it can be concluded that the depreciation per 1000 miles for the Boxster is relatively low. In the comment section of the video, I also show what the different price points are for cars which have the Chrono package, cars at dealers, and cars at Porsche dealers.
I'm of course open for feedback, so please let me know if you have any suggestions, tips, or questions.

Nice work.
Wow do this type of stuff for a living or is just a hobby ?Can you provide the same graph with 95%CI for the mean depreciation over time as the shaded area
Might it also be possible to calculate the mean depreciation and 95%CI over time rather than merely a point estimate from your graph

Your reply seems quite similar to a comment on Youtube. I think I already answered your questions there Can you provide the same graph with 95%CI for the mean depreciation over time as the shaded area
Might it also be possible to calculate the mean depreciation and 95%CI over time rather than merely a point estimate from your graph
