I reckon this is the Cayman now being positioned to replace 911 as the "Sports" car in the next generation, allowing the 911 to become the GT car that it has grown into. Other than that, a fairly pointless car to the majority of us as we won't get near one as the flippers and collectors get them hidden away, fearful to actually drive them! Glad it exists all the same though.

Different exhaust outlets too. Maybe a titanium setup, being an RS.

I think Porsche already have the GT and Sports car differentiation within the 911 model range already. In 991.2 the Carrera/S felt very much like a GT car to me....one that when pushed revealed the sports car underneath. GT cars are the sports cars. Taken it even further switch the 992 !

As I keep saying the most intriguing thing will be how they position this car.

It’s looks like quite serious effort, but how will they price it?
I don’t think Porsche will take previous gen car pricing structure (9x1) or used car prices into account… it’s a new cycle.

Vanilla 718 GT4 is £75k -420ps/414hp quoted.

New 992 GT3 has got be at least £125/130K… say 520ps quoted.

So theres a nice gap in there for new car purchase.

I’d be shocked if it has more than 450ps, unless it is super limited number plaqued car like the 997.2 RS 4.0.

They do look the same as the WP mag wheels.

Can’t easily determine if it’s a staggered setup 20/21 as per the 911 or remains at 20 all around… which would require a new rear wheel to be made.

Could also mean a 265 section up front.
Mechanical grip and turn in will be even more incredible.

Was only £111k. I’d imagine new one will be £120k plus.

This looks very much like the wing on the 982 Clubsport race car. Would make a ton of sense to "re-use" it

It’s a different shape to the race car.
Only similarity is that it’s swan neck mounted.

Race car has a very rounded profile, wing on the mule is more angular.

You are right. Need to better look at the pics wink. The swan neck got me on the wrong track

A bit of photoshop-based measuring suggests those are the same size all round.

They could easy go down the £30k WP option and offer a base car or a WP car.

Would it be madness to get out of my RS WP and into 4RS? (If the opportunity arose that is)

The real question is what are you using the car for?

You’d get some money back. Which makes sense for some.
3RS WP will still be significantly faster, so not for track… so then it’s a trinket?
