The Guards Red one didn't go on track, and neither did the Gelbgrün car that turned up for a bit

Yes it is PTS Fire Red and yes it was very frustrating having only 300 miles on the clock but looking forward to being back in May properly run in and good to go. Meanwhile another pic.

Ah, sorry. Looked like Guards to me but I'm clearly not a PTS expert!
Up close and personal it is very different to Guards Red. It is much deeper red and popped yesterday even in dull conditions. Great day and mostly good driving. Got really quiet after 3pm which made for better laps with less traffic. Gave SpookRS and ChrisW some passenger laps which was very encouraging for the future as they're both old enough to be my dad. My 718GT4 was on MP4Ss which were OK because it was so cold albeit a fair bit slower than Cup 2s.

I’m curious for those who have managed to get a RS. Did you drive GT4s first or GT3 s? Or do you own many Porsche models?
Which do you prefer?
I started with a 997.1 GT3 back when they were easier to obtain - I'd had a 997.1 C2 and a 997.1 C2S before and just walked into Reading one day and asked about the GT3 and ordered one on the spot. Once I'd had one, I was hooked on the GT cars.Which do you prefer?
I then had a new 981 GT4 and a new 981 Spyder, followed by a 997.2 GT3 bought second hand below list. After that I bought a 3 year old 997.2 GT3 RS (out of a collection with 345 miles on the clock) at well below list and then sold it a year and 5,000 miles later at well above list...
More recently, I've had a 718 GT4 and now the 718 GT4 RS, with a 992 GT3 on the way shortly.
If I'm completely honest - I prefer the GT3s and I'm hoping I'll get a GT3 RS or an ST allocation - as much as I enjoy it, the GT4 RS would be on it's way out of the door to facilitate either of those (which is highly likely as as the dealership would want the car back through them).
I've owned in excess of 20 Porsches of all types over the years and in addition to the GT4 RS at present we have a Macan T and a Taycan ST, with a 992 Carrera T on the way imminently and a 992 GT3 in a couple of months.
I'm a big fan of the brand and it's cars (they were my boyhood poster cars), I've spent a lot of money with them and I've taken time to build a relationship with dealerships to be able to be in with a chance of buying the cars from new.
I could simply of saved myself the hassle and bought at over list every time, but the enjoyment for me comes from having a car I really want, built exactly as I want. And I'm buying cars I really enjoy owning and driving.
Yes it's turned out well and you are having a great journey ...
I also went the Classics route and of the 30 odd Porsche's owned only six were new from my local OPC. Hence I'm a good customer of my local "indie" but my local OPC consider me not to be a good customer.
They would love to find me cars such as 944 Cup, 924 Carrera Clubsport, 964 RS RHD /LHD/N-GT, 964 3.8 RSR's, 3.2 Clubsport ...but it was never really going to happen that way. On the other hand I've bought prototypes / a car given to a Porsche racing driver to bring him back into the fold / a car owned by an ex-F1 driver .... and I've had some great experiences that the OPC could never have given me.
It is as it is
