Just saw the link on Rennlist for the full GT4 RS Manthey kit.. I love everything about it. Maybe I'll send a letter to Santa to see if he still remembers me by Xmas.
Yes… Mr Grassl has asked me where I got the pics from! lol.

I didn’t bother to post here because most people don’t get it and will just say get tuition… which isn’t wrong, but isn’t the full answer either.

Then there is the camera setting. I have a Hero 7 Black. It has some things you can play with but basically it doesn’t feel like it zooms in enough and I don’t know how to make it adjust exposure. So you end up with lots of footage from the cabin but what you see through the windscreen is all bleached. Photo below, when the camera was mounted on the cross member so a bit further back than I want.

Any experiences?
With the Hero 7 you have to set 'spot mode' EVERY time you power it on so that it focuses at distance (with the old Hero 2 you could permanently set spot mode using the menus...not so with the Hero 7!). Without spot mode your outside of the cabin (the track) footage will be over-exposed because it's focusing on the inside of the cabin. So, every time you power on, touch the screen until you see the square with the dot in the middle and confirm the setting with the tick symbol. It'll then stay in spot mode until it powers down.

If you use the app to configure EV comp as I suggested, or do it in protune settings on the device itself you don’t have to set it everytime. EV comp overrides spot metering.

I’ve set mine once back in 2019 when I got the device. Never had to touch it again. I only need to sync time and date and set the zoom, which i do with the preview feature in the app.

Is that because you want me to record you? Lol.

TBH… it is my plan to just shadow you for the whole day.

Cheers mate, I quickly gave up with the App and couldn't find anything in the settings on the Hero 7 to permanently change it to spot mode. Will have a look again some time thumbup

Interesting scoop there, TDT - is that Autocar magazine?

Also interesting that Markus Atz states it's the last ICE 718 derivative...
