You think? I am over £100k without all the extra carbon, although I think Guards Red is 'free' versus Miami Blue.

Yes guards red is free. Miami is circa £2300.

I've specced up a few of these now and a really decent spec car is easily 95K

Yep. No cruise control, no auto wipers, no auto mirrors and no climate listed. I get it to around £97k.

Whilst I like cars with spec, it is perfectly possible to get a decent good enough spec non pccb non cs bucketed flat coloured 718 GT4 to well under £90k.

My red good spec 981 GT4 came in at sub £75k.

For some, myself included, good enough isn't good enough. Why skimp on a £75k+ car that's missing lots of things much cheaper cars have as standard?

Each to their own but spec such as rear camera Bose cruise illuminated cills upgrade mirrors grossly extended leather and anything above dynamic lights complete waste on a £75k GT4 furthermore they do very little if anything to enhance resale value.

Complete waste? Depends on your own personal intended use and likes/dislikes.

As for resale, who gives a st - far too much focus on it on here. Spec the car how you want it, that's exactly what I did with both my 981 GTS and 718 GT4.

I’ve ticked everything suggested as a waste! Can’t wait.
Aye, I've got most of it too smile No BOSE or PCCBs on mine but everything else, and I mean everything. If the Cayster goes electric in 2022/2023 as rumoured then this is my forever car and we're in it for the long haul...

No offence to anyone waiting for their 718 GT4 but why on earth anyone would buy that JZM car when for less than £10k more you can have a 991.2 GT3 from JZM is beyond me !

Yes it’s not got PCCB’s and it’s PDK but bloody hell the engine alone is worth the difference!

GT4 at list price is a fantastic car but at a £15k premium I just don’t think it’s worth that money with GT3’s where they are.

Agree that basic spec GT3 is good value for someone who wants steels and plastic dash/doors.

Agree with this... that's why overs on the 718 GT4 won't last long, and the GT3 is so much more car at the similar prices.

718 Spyder will be more likely to maintain overs - as the only other thing to offer a an open-top GT experience is the Speedster @ 4x more.

That particular GT3 is perfectly optioned for driving... just depends on if you're ok with PDK or want manual. Would be awesome on track.

Agree Cheib, makes no sense. Now that we are seeing low mileage 991.2 gt3 cars with nice sensible specs come for sale for less than £120k makes the 718 gt4 look expensive with overs attached.

Can’t see the overs lasting on the 718 gt4 for that long and now that they have appeared to remove the limited allocation from this product means more new cars will become available increasing production numbers further.

have they though? after the 'limited availability' was removed from the configurator i called a couple of OPCs in the area but they both said they have limited slots and they're already allocated.

They're still limited by production capacity.

As for the GT3 comparisons, not all of us want to drive a 911. Some of us prefer Caymans...

shouldn't they just keep the 'limited availability' comment there then? the car is either available or it's not.

i can walk into any OPC and order a non GT Cayman. if i can't do the same with a GT4 or Spyder then by definition availability is limited.

Only a few posts ago you, yourself suggested that a GT3 Touring would have been your target, but you don’t want to pay the crazy overs, so a 718 GT4 at list will do.

Just saying.

You can't order any non-GT Cayman if there isn't a build slot available, but there are more slots so the chances of getting one are much higher.

That's a totally different price point. At around £90k-ish, I'd prefer a new loaded up manual GT4 over a lower spec used PDK 911 GT3.
