Are the manuals harder to sell? Specifically on a T?

Yes, most buyers want pdk. Why would you limit yourself to a manual only box when you can have the best of both worlds with a pdk?

Because I finally found a car with 20% off haha. It’s a cayman T, good spec with a manual!

Looks like there were about 4 times as many PDK 718 sold than manuals.

The PDK I drove 3 weeks ago at Porsche Belfast has had about £5000 taken off the price and the high miler red 2.0T on AT has had £3k shaved off the price too.

There's another 2.0T just been listed for sub £30k with higher than normal miles (40k but bet that's not stop start driving) but a mad Black/Bordeaux Red interior. Has a load of options and just swap out the red instrument cluster cover and central console cover and good to go...relatively cheap daily driver there (I must stop looking at these things ...)

Some nice 2016 981s available now sub 30k for those that prefer the engine:

Good buyers’ market at the moment.

for some it's limiting, for others it's freedom

I have no problem at all with the 4 pot turbo. The 2 litre revs easier and for me has enough (300 brake) power to play.

Yes, a second hand decent spec 2.0T is a great buy ATM in terms of bang for your buck. I doubt there's another car that handles like it in that price bracket?

I was shocked how free revving the one I drove was.

Had a 2.0T for 2 days while my 981 CS was in for its big service.. great car in terms of handling and performance. Can’t deny it. Would never want one though. The F4T is highly effective at doing what it does bet for me personally, as an engine to savour and enjoy, it left me cold. It’s the 3rd 718 my OPC has given me, so enough to not be basing my thoughts on a trip round the block.

Yes, I think many that have lived with a 6 pot will struggle with the 718.

For anyone new to Porsche, they must be a revelation though at about £30k and only a couple of years old. Handling, Brakes and even the EP Steering.

Am I the only one looking hard at that lovely 996 behind it with full fried eggs going on (look great on dark colors IMO)!

996 is marching towards classic status. Over here in NL they creep up in status. And well deserved!

Oh yes I owned a 996C4 53 reg loaded with options, it was ‘the most hated Porsche’ I really hated it, so much that I kept it for ten years!!!
It looked ‘horrible’ with those stupid fried egg headlights, gt3 factory body kit and wheels and what’s more it had one of those awful ‘slush box’ sluggish Mercedes derived Tiptronic gearboxes with buttons on the steering wheel. Nobody would want one of those lardy, ugly, sluggish stupid things would they.
Don’t people talk some cr*p!!!! It was absolutely gorgeous and I enjoyed every minute of my ten years with it. Now here we go- the hated 996 isn’t quite as hated anymore and will reach ‘classic status’ Well what a surprise!!
Moved onto a Boxster 987S gen 2- absolutely fantastic car, wouldn’t go back to a 911!!
Swapped that for a 718 Boxster S, oh it’s really horrible, sounds awful, you look like a hairdresser in it, it’s got lots of turbo lag, power delivery is awful, PDK gearbox is useless, it needs a manual box as it’s a sports car, prices will’plummet’ when the 6 cylinder is back etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc

Er, I love it!! Sounds great, goes like a train, handling is sublime, brakes are phenomenal . It outperforms the previous models in every way. Won’t be long til it’s got ‘classic status’😂😂😂
Don’t think of buying one though, they’re awful, who would want to drive about in an ugly, sluggish, lardy barge like that😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

The Lava Orange 718T on AutoTrader seems to have sold a week ago (think I linked to it earlier in this thread).

Someone got a good base to mod there I suspect. It was only £28k from memory and hung around a good while.

I'm not buying one - just concentrating on the positives. Wonderful part time slightly posh track car/weekender with that chassis, brakes etc.
I get the impression they are pretty tough cars/engines too.

Just read his advert text... "One of the very last standard Cayman V6 produced before they went onto the V4 Turbo on the new 718"

Obviously a car head on him.
