Where are you measuring 5mm? I've driven a 981 Spyder and GT4 with each seat and the difference was massive. If it was only 5mm I wouldn't really notice it.

That was the agreed 'average' measurement when the two seats were compared on the 981 GT4 thread some time back. Also seem to recollect it is a similar measurement on the 991.1 GT3 and gen 2.

Don't forget that because the p11 buckets are narrower at the hips this CAN result in some effectively sitting higher in the car as the bolsters provide additional support.

There is also evidently some difference in the actual support provided by the base of the seats which can obviously further vary depending on the mileage and use of the individual car.

It must vary a lot based on body shape then. I'm average build and the difference was huge for me. In the P11 918 buckets I'm on the floor comparatively!

Yep whilst theres no denying the p3s are a good seat (and were a no brainer 'free' standard option on the Spyder) not only do you sit lower but actually feel you are sitting much lower in the p11s thus are more connected to the car which is after all what a Porsche GT is all about.

P11 buckets a great seat and certainly enhances the driving experience as well as providing better comfort imo depending on your build obviously.

Just picked up on a YouTube video that the presenter (UK) was under the impression, having spoken to 2 separate OPCs, that these are ‘limited’ availability and the perennial Porsche buying history is required. Any thoughts on whether this could be gaining momentum? I’m sure there’s an element of ‘get your name and deposit down quick as they’re limited’, but if it’s really going to be down to buying history and existing relationships, I’m at a loss. I’d really like to get into
Porsche dealership but it’s becoming increasingly difficult to get anything other than an SUV without having to bend over.

That doesnt seem the case at all. A few have had cold calls asking if they are interested in placing a deposits, not limited, even GT4's are available due to cancelled orders?

I think they are more likely to be ‘Coronavirus calls’ - Can’t say I agree with the ‘panic’ reaction, but it is happening, and if people are panic-buying toilet rolls, then it doesn’t bode well for the prestige car market.

If you read what's coming out of Italian hospitals (doctors reports) there are definite issues and it's not a common flu. A good dose of the Porsche buying age demographic could be at risk too.

Not that Buffoon MAXREVS is it? Videos of him wandering around parks and stations wondering if he should order this or that on the coat tails of the influencers looking for likes.

Now the 4.0 litre GTS is out, do folks think these dreamers and speculators asking 50k+ for the 5 and 6 year old GTS cars, will now slash the crap out prices they are trying to achieve ??

The red GTS at Brooklands OPC has been around for most of last year as well. There's also a silver private car in Norfolk on autotrader that's gathering an awful lot of dust as well.

So what price should we pay for a 5/6 year old GTS ?? Cause they are not selling at anything like the 50k folk ask ??

German cases are rapidly rising too, i think most european countries are only weeks away from lock down like Italy.

I think that dealers holding 981 GTS's must believe that if they hold them long enough they will become a classic smile

Asking price has but are they flying off the dealers lots?

Do any of the 981 GTS actually have buckets?

Yes, but only earlier cars. They weren't available to order for the last half of the run due to lack of supply. Mine was an April 2016 car, so one of the last, specced in January 2016. Buckets weren't available for my order and hadn't been for several months.
