Hi Herefordshire
Glad to hear that you are getting a good deal on another car.
I my dealership has quoted early next year for a replacement if I reject this one. That will be over 2 years from my original order and deposit,
Please can you give me an idea of when your expecting your replacement.
Many thanks.

That's such a shame, such a lovely spec from your delivery photos.
These cars are difficult to potter about in without an occasional boot full.
Best of luck with the sale!

if this issue had happened to mclaren there would have been a Forum and social media sh*t storm. funny how Porsche can get away with these kinds of problems.
They still haven't resolved active engine mount failures from 2012 on various engines. Still it keeps people buying expensive warranties.Herefordshire said:
All I can say my OPC have been brilliant. I have rejected the car and they have done me a great deal on another new GTS. Genuinely couldn’t ask for more. It’s my first Porsche and I am seriously impressed with the service given
Hi - Which OPC? If you don't mind sharing of course.Thanks.
Personally I don’t buy into this whole long ratio criticism. Who drives on the red line all the time, not me for sure.
I was thinking about this last night on a long drive, I don’t even notice it and use the full suite of gears blasting around the back roads.
It helps the engine has a lot of torque I suppose. The box itself is absolutely superb, it’s perfect for me.
To your Q, not sure at the mo as not going above 5k yet !

Thanks. I had a 981 spyder and the long ratios waernt for me so i guess i do buy into it all. Its not the sole reason Im looking at PDK however but I would like to understand how far it moves things in the right direction and for that Im mainly interested in top out of 2nd and 3rd gear. As the PDK is just a number on the dash rather the whole mental difficulty I have changing into 2nd /1st and the position of the stick its already ahead of the curve. Once you get the revs up a bit perhaps you would let us know top off 2nd and 3rd.

2nd seems to top out around 75mph give or take. 3rd I was too busy focusing on the [private] road....Years ago magazines such as Motor used to quote mph/ 1,000rpm in each gear. e.g. 911SC was 23.65/ 18.60/ 14.74/ 10.14/ 5.84 from 5th to 1st. Work the maximum speeds out from the rev limit bearing in mind it won't pull peak revs in the highest gear.
You could drive off the rev counter as the speedometer was hidden by your left hand and no digital display.
My 991.2 is about 38 mph per 1,000 rpm in 7th, 30 in 6th etc. So 2,000 rpm at 76 mph. My wife's 986 is about 25/ 20/ 15/ 10/ 5.
Just find out what 1,000 is in each gear and work it out. No need to actually do it, although I can appreciate you want to.
