If you don't spec the GTS interior I would select one of the other interior options to get the leather dash.130R said:

I wouldn’t worry about resale. I sold my 718 GTS 2.5 with leather and race tex interior no problem and with no impact on resale value a couple of months ago. Have a Spyder now with alcantara interior - i like both Nice reg coming up for auction in October...

I personally don't like it alcantara so i optioned it out. It makes the seats look like cheap cloth seats in my opinion. I instead went for bordeaux / black with the leather dash and don't for one minute regret that decision. I bought the car for my taste, not the next buyer's taste. Hi everyone, I've posted a few times, will be ordering my Cayman GTS 4.0 on Thursday. Very excited but want to get the spec just right as I will keep it for 10 years +. Will be co-owned by my father and I, will be used for Euro roadtrips and days out, unlikely to take on track.
The Porsche code for my spec is below. Any comments?

Few questions…..
1) I assume PVTS+ (tracking) is optional subscription. It doesn't work like a Tracker?
2) Memory seats would be useful, but £1991 option for adaptive sports seats sounds like a lot. Apart from electric & memory are there any other benefits?
3) Very tempted by LED lights, it is in my current spec. Is it worth the £1397?
4) Isofix - For £100 it seems a good option incase I need it in the future. Are there any comfort downsides to this options?
5) Does the car come with a CD player
Thanks in advance!

2) I think the electric steering column comes with this option, but not sure. They are v comfortable seats, albeit pricy.
3) Not to me, not sure why I bothered!
4)Not that I noticed (I don't have it myself though)
5) There is a slot, I assume it can play CDs, but not tried!

1) It's a regular tracker and you have to subscribe to it for it to be operational. All cars have it fitted but you don't have to subscribe to it if you don't need it.1) I assume PVTS+ (tracking) is optional subscription. It doesn't work like a Tracker?

2) They're the benefits, along with the ability to really crank up the bolster support. Downside is additional weight and complexity.
3) Only you can decide, but the LEDs are very impressive but expnsive to replace. And they're heavier if that bothers you.
4) Don't think so, not my area of expertise though.
5) Yes, a single unit.
Thanks! If I went 911 I would end up speccing it to at least £100k so the Cayman is still substantially cheaper, and too me felt more agile and special as a 3rd car
Interesting views on the adaptive LEDs. Are the Xenons good enough? Maybe it’s me, but as a BMW owner they switched from Xenon to LED a few years ago, so my perception is Xenon is old tech and LED is worth the extra. I may be wrong though

At the end of the day, they are just headlights. I went full PDLS and yes they're pretty good but they're not going to change your world.....Interesting views on the adaptive LEDs. 2. Dealer told me they are pretty much the same seats bar electric adjustment and memory. I think you also get lumbar support which you don’t on the standard ones. But that’s it. I didn’t bother speccing as I found the standard seats in the demo excellent. The Porsche code for my spec is below. Any comments?

3. Haven’t compared the two, but I went for the adaptive LEDs. They look cool if nothing else!
4. I haven’t seen one with them but I can’t imagine there are any downsides. The isofix attachments will be lodged between the base and backrest like on any other car seat so I can’t see how there would be any problems.

As a "3rd car", you are IMO overkill on spec, especially as a % of purchase price. As somebody going through a similar exercise with a GT4 to be used as a 3rd car (weekends/occasions), I originally specced it up with things like rear camera, dual zone climate control etc, but then I put my usage into perspective. As a 3rd car it's not a daily, so the situations I'd find myself in for 'luxuries' are minimised significantly. Rear camera? Sensors will suffice... £500 saved. Two zone climate control in a small 2 seater cabin? the standard A/C and single climate temp adjustment will more than suffice... another £500+ saved, and so on and so on.

Just an FYI - standard A/C is not climate, it's basic A/C with fan speed. If you want any kind of temperature driven climate control you need the Dual Zone option. As has been pointed out on here lots of times, the key part of the Dual Zone Climate option is Climate, not Dual Zone.
Some people, myself included, want to set a temp and forget rather than faff about adjusting it all the time.

Thanks, that's really handy to know, I've been mulling over this as part of my spec as wellAs has been pointed out on here lots of times, the key part of the Dual Zone Climate option is Climate, not Dual Zone.

It really isn't clear what is standard on the car, I had similar thoughts on the air con and climate.
It is crazy some of the stuff that should be standard on a car of this budget.Heated exterior mirrors are one thing I’ve always missed, are the electric folding ones also heated? Is an absolute pain if you park outside in winter then forget to clear them...
