Just over 2k miles on it.
I had originally thought yellow was the colour for me but the one I took out was yellow and looked a bit washed out! For me, it needs to be a bright colour and doesn’t give many other options! The bright coloured early GT3’s are still in fashion. I don’t really see that being an issue.
Racing yellow has never seemed washed out to me. Me being biased where my GTS 4.0 was racing yellow (always admired) and my GT4 (on order) will also be Racing Yellow. A proper heritage colour that is reasonably rare and methinks will still be around when some other colour options have been and gone.I had originally thought yellow was the colour for me but the one I took out was yellow and looked a bit washed out! Mine apparently completes on 10th Jan. Not long now. How long usually before they arrive at dealer?

Mine went into build first week of Jan last year and arrived mid march
I'm trying to work out whether my dealer's anticipated delivery window is accurate, would it be possible to say when you placed your orders?Charlie_1 said:

So I pick mine up this week (Python Green). I had a bit of spec creep which always happens and am excited about it.
The dealer asked if I wanted the tracker turning on, I didn’t realise it was optional. Do most insurance companies require this doing. I am over 50.
I don’t seem to have had tracker on my last few cars. Or do people use the Porsche app?
I'm with Porsche insurance (it's underwritten by Aviva) and I believe they require a tracker for > 75K value unless that has changed recently. The Porsche Vehicle Tracking System (VTS) is the Security Services part of Car Connect provided by Vodafone: https://connect-store.porsche.com/gb/en/p/bundle_c... Unless the price has changed I paid £476 for 24 months. The dealer asked if I wanted the tracker turning on, I didn’t realise it was optional. Do most insurance companies require this doing. GTS 4.0 configurator currently not offering LED headlights or BOSE sound?? Do we think this is a glitch or lack of availability from suppliers?
It seems to include them if you start with the GTS standard configuration, but not offer them if you don't. So would seem to be a glitch as not like Porsche to make it difficult to spec pricey options!Chrispilley said:
I just locked in the spec for my car today at Porsche Bournemouth.
I was initially told September delivery when I ordered a month ago but apparently they have been allocated 4 Jan build slots and I am a bit further down so may be well before then.
Went a bit crazy with the options thinking it might be my last NA manual Porsche but hopefully pays off for a very individual car! They also honoured the pre price rise cost as i reserved before which was a pleasant surprise.
Cant wait to see Aventurine green with Espresso interior!
Wow, what a coincidence! That is my dream spec too - with aventurine colour matched in the cabin. Link to configurator here... 12k of options, would be up to 16k with the bucket seats but can't have those with the espresso leather...I was initially told September delivery when I ordered a month ago but apparently they have been allocated 4 Jan build slots and I am a bit further down so may be well before then.

Jeez, a car couldn’t look more drab. I’d get depressed just walking past that.http://www.porsche-code.com/PNKQ3BH6

Hello all, i've been trawling through this thread, it's been really useful so far! Anyway, I've talked myself into ordering a Cayman GTS 4.0, which would be my first Porsche so had a couple of questions:
1. Will certain dealers be able to provide quicker delivery times due to larger allocations (or do they tend to get more sales so it balances out)? Has anyone had a decent ordering experience with a particular dealer who have been accurate with delivery times in the past, if so would you mind sharing the details (can be PM)? I'm trying to avoid going through the order process but ending up missing out as they don't actually have the allocation (maybe i'm being a little paranoid here :-)) I'm based in Suffolk and would ideally like to buy from a dealer in SE but would travel if that made more sense.
2. Any ideas when production is likely to end? I've read it could be 2023, maybe 2024?
thanks!

I think you will be looking for a 12 to 18month wait unless anything significantly changes. You may be lucky to fall on an allocation a little bit sooner but this doesnt seem to be the case. Good luck.RTA3 said:

I’ve just placed an order for a Cayman GT4 at OPC Guildford and was told probably Q4 but may slip given lots of uncertainty re chips etc. So I’m taking that as meaning Q1 next year.nudgerwilliams said:

It may be a possibility that the 718 gt4 isn’t made in 2023 as that have now realised the gt4 rs model.
