Where are you guys getting the in build photos from?

My build complete date has slipped to March 15th, and I have a VIN number but nothing else
They're in the My Porsche app, which will need a profile creating if you haven't done it already. The build pics seem to come when the car's complete, or at least mine did.

Any idea when the original order was placed? I also took a cancelled order slot with local Dealer and that was back at the beginning of November with an est. delivery of March 23. I have been unable to assess whether they just bump everyone up the queue that also has orders pending and join the end. There is a lot of black magic and wizardry to the whole process and not sure what goes on at the AD’s and what then goes on with Porsche GB!

I have absolutely no idea tbh, order form has estimated delivery date of 12/01/23. Prior to this I spoke with a few more local dealers who were all quoting me 18month lead time for a new car order so I’m hoping it’s not a bullst date they’ve given me.

Nice, what colour is that - don't think I've seen it before?

Also are they non-standard alloy or am i just going mad?

Paint to Sample Bahama Yellow, a historic Porsche colour from the late 60s (912 originally)

Wheels are satin platinum which is my favourite finish Porsche do.

I don't normally go for yellow hued cars but that is epic!

That colour looks amazing. Congrats. I’d be very interested to see pics once you’ve taken delivery.

We have placed an order this week - our order configuration is PNKHQ8M6.

I’m sure there will be a few tweaks to the spec before finalising - but no rush as we are not expecting delivery for 18 months.

Car is for weekends and holidays and we are expecting to keep it for the long term, so very much speccing for our own enjoyment. Our only other new Porsche was a 997S cabriolet that we kept for 8 years.

Wonder if this ship fire will push our availability back?

A real beauty! Congratulations and hope you have many fun miles with your new toy.

Did you consider going for black calipers at all? I was torn when speccing my Touring. I just find it even for Porsche standards a complete rip off to pay so much extra to get the standard colour calipers of all base models

I think the base model 718 calipers are matt/plain black but the optional black calipers on the GTS etc are gloss black. Presumably this is how Porsche feel they can justify the £600 odd option cost.

On the subject of options, there still seems to be overlap (to me anyway) between options GE and 088 re the GTS interior. I was told I had to have both in order to get the carbon, stitching, belts and so on, but carbon's mentioned in both options' descriptions.

It’s been a bloody long wait, but at last this beauty is nearly with me.
Looks great … novice time … how did you get the photo? I’ve got a GT4 being built in April and I’d love the same shot?
