Question: does anyone have carbon buckets and hasn’t got them for track use, how are they for extended drives, everyday comfort, getting in and out of the car?
100 percent get the full buckets !! picked mine up yesterday. comfortable 3.5 hours drive home. Yes getting out takes a little getting used to. But soooo glad I chose one with full buckets.cammy71 said:
Then received this photo via my Porsche account today. Can't wait!
Where specifically did you find this photo in your account. I have 3 other pictures of my car in the production process, but not this view that seems to be very common. I'm picking my car up on Saturday am I'm conscious that once it's been 'delivered' the whole thing might disappear.Rob P said:
I wouldn’t trust the information to be honest. My car showed as just going into production the same day the dealer said it had arrived at the port.
Hoping you're right, it's real anxiety provoking stuff.. sold my 718S , now had to rearrange with the buyer to wait another 4 weeks as I need the car for our holiday, luckily a bit of money off softened the blow for him. kmpowell said:

I received an e-mail from Porsche Cars Great Britain with a link to 'Visit My Porsche' which took me to My Porsche account where it now registered at being at Stage 4. And from there clicked through to photo. I never had any earlier stage photos just this complete one. And nothing is registered if I access the Porsche App....cammy71 said:

Got to finalise the spec but will have a trip to the dealership to do that. But main highlights are purple, gold wheels and white and black leather interior
Delivery beginning of November. I ordered march last year

Nope, four months with our GTS now and we also have the standard -20mm drop. Not aware it's ever caught or scuffed anything and there are plenty of speed bumps around here.
YEs - on my first drive back from the dealers it scuffed twice and, as you can imagine, I was going gently!dans160 said:
I see there has been another price increase in the UK. £700 this time. Deposit made in January, build slot confirmed for October, but what price am I paying?
Dan
In my experience it will be the increased price. I'm in the same boat, deposit last month with October/November build (I got a cancellation ).Dan
I ordered one of these last month. Long story short, went with my wife to look at a Taycan (I liked it but she said it was too big and hard to see over the front wings) and got talking to the sales guy. I was already aware of the car and engine but never really considered one. Anyway, ordered there and then and got a call a few days later with a Nov/Dec delivery slot. Need to lock the spec down by the end of October. At some point will hopefully get to drive one having never done so - I know that blows some peoples minds but I have driven enough Porkers over the years to be pretty comfortable with that.
This is where we got to on the day at the OPC (I have selected door sill in steel but on the order form it is carbon - not sure if the option is gone now or maybe I didn't spot it when replicated in the configurator just now).

Colour is set - I was tempted by lizard, shark and yellow but since we went to buy a car for my wife and ended up buying one for me it isn't a battle worth fighting. Set on manual too.
Feel free to tell me I have got the spec all wrong but keep in mind, I have set myself (as if - my wife has really) a circa £80k limit.

Picked up my GTS at the weekend. Your spec is near on identical. I went for carbon door sills as i felt it picked up the carbon that the interior package gives you. Also I wonder whether you should go for climate control as air conditioning is tedious and requires you to keep changing it. It’ is a minimal cost for the benefits it brings.

Nice spec.
Some suggestions if I may.
Add the dual zone climate. Not for the dual zone but for the 'set and forget'. You'll only get on/off ac otherwise and it's a PITA to keep changing it on/off, up/down. Climate should be standard on a £70k+ car.
Heated multifunction steering wheel is excellent and removes the third stalk on the steering column. It's a nice to have but not essential. I have it on mine and I like the fact that everything is to hand. Heated steering wheel is nice in the winter too.
Storage compartment in race-tex with Porsche crest is also a nice little touch.
And thats it!! Good choice.
