Quick Q for those of you who’ve received/finalised build of your cars.
Did you manage to negotiate on the difference in list price from when you ordered to when you took delivery.
I paid a deposit last July and the list price has gone up nearly 3.5k and I plan on raising this with my OPC, so any advice would be appreciated.
Bottom line is it comes down to order MY v build MY, not date of lock etc.Did you manage to negotiate on the difference in list price from when you ordered to when you took delivery.

- If your original order was a MY22, but allocation/build was given as MY23 (after the summer shutdown), then you are subject to the first MY23 price (but not subsequent price rises like the one a few days ago).
- If your order was MY22 and your allocation/build is MY22, then you aren't subject to any price rises from the point of your first signed order form.
For finance, you are only subject to any rate rises if you have not done a full proposal/qualification/credit-check with your dealer.
I ordered my GT4 in Aug 21 (MY22), allocation was given for Jan (MY22), build was delayed but still stayed in MY22. In the 11 months between me ordering and collecting there were 3x price increases and 3x interest rate rises. My dealer gave me the original MY22 price I ordered at back in August 2021 saving me £4500 in price rises, and also the original finance quote of 5.9% which I applied for at the time.
So I’m short they don't honour prices if you cross MY builds, so as I ordered when it had just gone to MY22 and it snuck in as a MY22 build before they shutdown this summer for MY23, I got the original price.

Well at long last picked up my new GTS from the detailers who were PPF'ing it. First of all what a great job they did and totally unnoticeable as you would expect. Drove it for the first time (any GTS that is) having come from an S. Absolutely WOW! All I can say to those who are waiting for theirs is that it is well worth the wait. Even up to run in max of 4k RPM is sounds amazing. Just need to get the 1850 mile run in done now.....

LED lights are now missing from the configurator. The stars are not aligning over this one.
That’s a shame as they’re number 1 on my list! Must be some serious parts issues in the supply chain.Edited by dans160 on Thursday 4th August 17:53
Spec is with dealer and I have an allocation - due for delivery Oct, but I guess if it’s not locked in I will have to think again.
In fairness I have a spec with the dealer that comes in at £81k with everything I could possibly want on.
I also have a poverty spec in mind that comes in at just under £70k that I’d still be perfectly happy with. This spec obviously doesn’t have LED. I might just say sod it and go with that when I get the call.

Dumb question? Didn't you get a chance to go to the PEC Driver Experience? You should have had an invite from Porsche?
Went on Monday with SWMBO. Loved every second of it. I had a PEC 90 minute session in a GTS 4.0 PDK for a Xmas present.
Unfortunately its making the wait for ours even harder!

Not me that you asked, but I was at PEC Silverstone on Wednesday enjoying the 1/2 day that came with my latest base Cayman (arrived December last year). Haven't been there for 5 1/2 years - oh my, the reception/restaurant complex has grown! You should have had an invite from Porsche?

Got talking early on to someone that has a 718 GTS 4.0 on order, and had to ask between sessions if delivery seemed much further away after some time behind the wheel. Clearly did, but he had arrived in a Boxster S, so will probably survive until the car comes.
Clubsport GT4 you photographed is gorgeous, really liked the 911 Sport Classic too. GT4 RS is just stunning, but I think the driver's seat is going to wear out soon, clearly everyone needs to have a sit in that one!
Cracking day out, good to hear someone else enjoyed it this week.

I have an outstanding PEC session to be booked for my 4.0GTS Boxster order (deposit Feb 22, 7th in queue, now 5th )Do you reckon I could get half the session in a PDK and the other half in a manual?
I understand in Covid times the instructor didn't come in the car with you - are they back to in-car instructors?

The Speed limit indicator also gone, must be issue with cameras or chips related to cameras
I noticed the LED lights weren't available recently if you started from scratch with a base car, but if you started with the Porsche recommended spec they were there and you could deselect. There were other options like that which disappeared when speccing up a base car, but were added onto the Porsche specced car. Maybe the configurator has gone back to that default position again?MM57 said:

It was a while back, but when the 718 launched they let me have a session split between a 2.0 manual and a 2.5 auto. I asked in advance so they could make sure both cars were available. They are really helpful at the PEC...Do you reckon I could get half the session in a PDK and the other half in a manual?
