Think you're better off without the + element. I have it on my 718 and Macan. It's rubbish. Way better to dip oneself in my view.
There is a bit more to Pdls + than just auto dip , the range and light intensify,s when not on main beam ans alters on cornering.
Agree I have it on my Macan GTS and they are superb, the best lights I have ever driven behind. Whereas my Boxster has Xenon Pdls and whilst sufficient, they are nowhere near as good.

It's available on Autotrader I believe at £67,999 retailed by flat six performance If I am not mistaken...
Seems like good spec on paper, is there something not quite right with it? Not far off the lowest on the market and seems good spec?

Also many have smokers package, I cannot stand if a car has even been smoked in once, is it often specked for non smoking reasons? Puts me off if I see it in the spec.

Also it appears to have the ride height raised 10mm by selecting PASM. Again do people spec this because they don’t realise ride height is automatically 20mm lower? Or it improves ride to be 10mm

The smokers package is so you don't have that massive hole at the back of the console. I don't smoke but have optioned it purely for a cleaner interior.

I have optioned this for the same reason too.

T1 Beat me to it... cleaner interior - most dealers do suggest it when speccing too, otherwise it's a little useless. Also can give you another USB port as theres a fag lighter in there iirc.

I've mentioned this before, the Porsche active dipping even on our 2021 Macan is rubbish (slow, inaccurate), my work truck Ford Ranger is miles better. I thought maybe it was due to the Macan coat tailing on the Q5 as the tech seems always to be a generation or two behind (I've been an automotive electronics supplier so I know what I'm looking at re day night sensor generations etc.).

Re-smokers package, As always very helpful, thank you.

Any views on PASM 10mm vs standard 20mm? I can see a lot of cars have the 10mm option added

I'd be very surprised if different spring rates are not applied with the 20mm drop versus the 10mm.

In the Porsche configurator they allude to it being a "Sportier setup"

So its kind of open to interpretation but I'm guessing the 10mm drop will be a bit more forgiving spring rate wise against the standard 20mm drop.

YMMV. I went for the 10mm drop as I figured 99% of the time it would be on UK roads (namely Sh!te) rather than a perfect Track surface.

My Boxster GTS has the 10mm PASM and never once on the road have I thought it needed to be lower or firmer.

I've driven both the 10mm and 20mm drop Cayman GTS cars. Neither has had any clearance issues, the 20mm drop car is firmer but I much prefer it. Of course the 10mm drop car could have had wayward settings compared to the 20mm drop car but the latter feels better, despite being firmer.

All IMHO of course.

Here it is! I love it!! Feels a properly quality car. Up to 73 miles already, and not that it matters but it’s doing 31mpg somehow.

Pretty well set up already. App won’t show mileage or fuel level yet though. Also not sure whether I have auto main beam function with the Xenon PDLS or how to set the Individual driving mode.

Looks lovely. Is that Carmine?

Think you only get auto main beam on the LED PDLS+. I specced those before they removed them, so have same as you (when mine arrives at the dealer next month).

I’d be interested in any update of how you find them after you’ve done a bit of night time driving.

Stunning looking car. Guards Red, right? Such a classic Porsche colour! I'd tried it in the configurator for the one I have on order, but it looks a lot better in your photos than it does as a rendered image. I was thinking it would look good with silver wheels, but the black ones look a better choice too.

Congrats, I hope you really enjoy it!
