Yep had a look at the red one in Belfast. It just didn’t do it for me.

I also had a good look at a low miles 25 in the metal which was tempting as the main colours are the same as my spec but I decided that the gold wasn’t for me and inevitably there are bits missing off my perfect spec - I know I’m fussy!

I’ve decided to wait and hope I get one and if not I’ll think about other options.

Thanks for all the advice - much appreciated.

I have been discussing a few dealer cars over the last few weeks but all ex-demonstrators (although advertised as new!) and asking price above list which seems a strange concept to me and will probably change in due course. Some were not even available for a number of months.

However one of the demonstrators sold today so was clearly priced accordingly.

Fortunately with a bit of persistence I have just been offered a new car arriving at the end of the month which is very well specified and I can have it at list (albeit at the top end of the list range!) so said yes. Not sure if it was a dealer car or a cancelled order - I will try and find out but on the basis that the specification works for me (had some expensive options that I didn't really need such as PCCB's and Burmester System), but the car is available, it is not a demonstrator and the deal is at list price I am happy with the result and should be able to collect and drive home early next month.

My BGTS locks in 2 weeks time, with a deluvery forecast of mid May. I have been assured that the build will include things like Bose, Led pdls plus and 18 way seats. If it turns up without one or all of these then there may well be a nice car available for someone. But I hope not !!

Great news thumbup
The demonstrator that sold...the Shark Blue in Leeds? I was tempted but just the boggo lights!

Good luck, but I was told categorically that PDSL + is definitely not available, in fact it's not even on the configurator now, wouldn't be a deal breaker for me as long as it has LEDs.
Also Bose wouldn't be an option. Bose has a cross against it on the configurator. Apparently it's the amp which is unavailable.
Hope you get lucky.

The camera needed for PDLS+ or speed limit assist is out of production. So those options are not coming back.

The “new” LED light option of last year is basically a cheap repurposing of PDLS+ light units to work without the camera based main beam assist.

But with LEDs rather than Xenons. Basically the same as my Macan LED PDSL+ but just without the auto dip function, which doesn't bother me.

Agree about the gold bits, a bit too blingy. Having the wheels painted black and the grills black wrapped was a consideration for me if I couldn't get a BGTS 4.0. There is a very nice low mileage 22 reg 25 manual in GT Silver on the Porsche website now.

I love my B25 but of course I'm biased smile

There is a guy in the US who wanted a GTS and ended up buying a B25 as it was his perfect spec and then replaced the neodyme bits and wheels to make it look more like the GTS he wanted. He's also made sure that all the B25 bits can be retrospectively fitted if and when he decides to sell it. He's posted the whole process on the 718 Forum and it seemed pretty straight forward so it is possible if you're prepared for a bit more expense and some effort.

Crayon with the Crayon GTS Interior Pack and a shed load of other options. I was offered a Python Green one too but that was not for me as a daily driver.
The demo car that I was looking at and sold was from Bournemouth - that one was Arctic Grey but sold above list for a used car.

Thanks. No I believe the Green one was also Bournemouth and will become their demo car. Cambridge was one of the few OPC's I didn't speak to!

Hmmm!
Bournemouth are my local OPC and where I have a deposit with and speak to frequently, very surprised they haven't offered me one of these, but happy with the car I am getting.

I could be mistaken as York had a green GTS too - my new Crayon IS coming from Bournemouth but I am from York so will be a fun drive back!

I know they have also sold their demonstrator this week as I was interested in that too. I believe their new demonstrator is that other GTS that they had available but will be some time before they release it.

Enjoy your drive. I pick mine up 3rd April. I am from Bournemouth and collecting from Cambridge.

Having thought through the previous messages in this thread, I am starting to wonder what is really going on with OPCs and the way they are handling BGTS 4.0 allocations.
I have been offered and accepted a new car cancellation from an OPC, that I had only briefly talked to about a used car they had. Obviously this was not offered to buyers who had a deposit down with them.
I have a deposit down with an OPC, who have just sold a cancelled order to a buyer who doesn't have a deposit with them and the car was not offer to me as an advanced purchase.
I am one of the lucky ones, but if I was on the waiting list with a deposit paid and eventually wasn't able to get a build due to the end of the run, I would be really p**** off!
The other poster and I have not paid over list price, so it's not a money maker, so why are they not ensuring clients on their waiting lists are given first option on cancelled orders?

Are they trying to keep a substantial order book to satisfy in the hope of extra allocations given that selling a cancellation to someone new is a conquest new sale they wouldn’t have got otherwise while maintaining the order book and not reducing it by the cancellation?

I’ll be one of those really upset if they stop production before I get one. The whole system of smoke, mirrors and allocations is a real p take that they shouldn’t really be proud of.

Just to clarify any confusion - I have purchased a Cayman not Boxster. Also it was not a cancellation but a stock car which was planned for the showroom but they clearly got approval to sell - suspect they are probably pleased given how much they had invested in it.
