Change one of the 4 available fields to show Battery Voltage...
Thanks - tried that today but battery voltage isn't one of the options (Sept 19 car/69 plate).

Aventurine seems to be fully back on the configurator and I emailed my dealer who confirmed.

I don't want the heated steering wheel as I don't like the thumb wheel for the computer, I think the stalk is so much better. However many on here seem to prefer the now standard heated multi-function wheel. Am I making an error not getting the standard heated wheel?

Also interesting comments on the Bose. Is the wise money on going standard then upgrading tweeters to Burmester? Assuming standard set up has tweeters?

If the car is a daily driver for all year then I would want the heated wheel - I really like mine when driving out in a cold morning etc. Also can't comment on the Bose but a lot of people don't rate them for cars or home!! I therefore went with the Burmester and I am really pleased - clearly there is a cost to all these decisions so focus on what is important to you. I will be keeping mine for a few years so relaxed about the initial cost.

On the configurator the GT sports leather wheel appears to be a £0 option and it does not say it’s MF or heated. I have an appointment at my OPC next week and have asked him to find out the wheel options for me.
I am also going Bose. I had standard in my 981 and it was very very weak. I have Bose in my current 992 which is to my ears is good, though I know it’s a very different car and speaker set up. Bose in the 718 does seem to get a fair bit of criticism - however I think like you for any upgrade opportunities having the Bose as a base might make things easier. Just can not justify the Burmester, I can buy a very respectable home HiFi for that price!
I would always have heated steering wheel, my hands are always cold and Its the first thing I knock on along with the heated seats, I would never chose leather and have swapped out previous cars for the Alcantara wheel,to me just has a nicer feel, I also prefer the multi function option, I would struggle to see why someone would not spec it given the choice but looking at GT4's and Spyders i have noticed there are an awful lot that don't have it.

on the music, I really like my audio and have spent heavily in my house on this type of thing, my first 981 had the standard system and it was meh to say the least, the last 6 Porsches have all had Bose, in the Cayenne it was really good to the point I was pretty impressed, Macan maybe not quite as good and in the 981 and 718 although not as good as the SUV's I would imagine due to the compromised shape of the car, its still streets ahead of the standard system and can't say I would want to upgrade it and having listened to it personally I couldn't bring myself to spend the premium on Burmester.

It wasn't an option on the GT4, only the Spyder.

As luck would have it, I got a call from the OPC yesterday to say that they had just received 2 x Cayman GTS 4.0 allocations, one of which had been due to lock into a spec. last week, and if I could get a spec. to them this morning, I should be on for June build, July delivery. I somehow got it all done in time, after much deliberation over colour, and it appears we now have a fully specified car for them to build.

I didn't deliberate too much over the steering wheel, as I have gone for GTS interior with Crayon, but don't want the Alcantara rim. So had to be GT Sports. No idea if it's heated or not, but perfectly happy if it isn't. Weirdly, on the configurator it shows a plain wheel on the panel where you choose the wheel, but still seems to retain the thumb wheel in the lower right quadrant in the interior pictures of the whole car. I guess it is what it is when it gets here, because I definitely don't want a multi-function wheel (I'll live with the hooter being a second function!) I've had unheated GT Sport steering wheels in 2 base 718 Caymans now, and used through a few winters as daily drives. Absolutely no issues with this at all, have never needed to even consider gloves even when well below zero out, they are just a naturally warm feeling steering wheel.

I've always been happy with the standard sound system - low expectations are easily met. wink

Configurator code for anyone interested: PR7UH3H7

Congratulations, looks very classy in white, its green, white or red for me. I wish it was possible to spec GTS interior with body coloured interior trim. I had that on my 981 instead of CF and loved it. I need to do some research on the standard stereo, i have read that Bose is better starting point for upgrading the speakers but I don't see why that would not be possible on the standard system? I just want a plain wheel in alcantara, not bothered about heating but seems to be a big thing with others,

I had the same issue, ignored it and tried again recently and it works fine. Bizarre!
I tried mine again yesterday and I think you're right...it seems to be magically fixed. Do they do OTA updates on the quiet?

Thank you, I'd like to say Porsche Wolverhampton were refreshingly fair and good to deal with, and I will because they were, top marks from me.

That looks great, very nice and clean.

Thanks for your advice when I was considering a Boxster too.

It’s also not available until August and will spend the next 3 months being ragged around as a demo car.

Yes that’s over list.

Mine had 23k of extras and was a little over 91k.

That has pdk and all the advanced driver aids, so that adds about 6k in to mine. But I have PTS which is more.

Yes - if you open the configurator then it has a list of £98k. Still got a great specification though - just like my GTS but without the PCCB's smile

Took my BGTS on track on Friday at an Evo track day.

Wow! My previous 981 GTS was amazing but the 4.0 was a new level. The torque, acceleration, handling, poise and all round dynamics were incredible. 48 hours later I am still buzzing. And I saw 140 mph for the first time! Cleaning the flies of today has been quite a chore!

The bonding process is complete - I love this car.
