I have been watching this thread for a while .
Picking this up on Wednesday
Looks great. I'm a fan of the less shouty colours and that looks nicely understated. Picking this up on Wednesday
Mine is JASP (Just Another Silver Porsche) but so far I'm getting thumbs up and let in at junctions etc, perhaps it's the less obvious colour, or not being a 911?
Have fun. I've only had mine 26 days and done 1800 miles, but other than the "stereo" everything has exceeded expectations.

Took my BGTS on track on Friday at an Evo track day.
Wow! My previous 981 GTS was amazing but the 4.0 was a new level. The torque, acceleration, handling, poise and all round dynamics were incredible. 48 hours later I am still buzzing. And I saw 140 mph for the first time! Cleaning the flies of today has been quite a chore!
The bonding process is complete - I love this car.

Waiting for my 23 BGTS and spotted this on sale.

£105k. Surely that is over list.
It’s also not available until August and will spend the next 3 months being ragged around as a demo car.https://finder.porsche.com/gb/en-GB/details/porsch...

Thanks , I’m really excited and looking forward to getting it home. Mine is JASP (Just Another Silver Porsche) but so far I'm getting thumbs up and let in at junctions etc, perhaps it's the less obvious colour, or not being a 911?

We got confirmation of our allocation last week and have now locked down the spec. Build at beginning of July with delivery expected in August.
So should be less than 3 months now. Deposit placed Feb 22.
So if I paced my deposit Feb 2023 I should get my car Aug 2024. just in time for the 2025 replacement. I can't imagine Porsche will stop making them if they have a full order book? So should be less than 3 months now. Deposit placed Feb 22.

Well after 20 months of waiting it finally arrived, replaced the daily 718 S with a 718 GTS 4.0. 1st impressions are all positive apart from the loss of "bark" from the exhaust in sport. Have to get a few mile on it 1st to get above the 4K rpm which apparently is the sweet sport.
Sounds fantastic once it’s run in. Have about 2.5k on mine now and it’s great fun opening it up to hear the sound of the engine above 5-6,000 RPM.Just had an oil and filter changed by my friendly Indi after completing 1,800 miles. Must be psychological but it seems smoother after the oil change. Only used 0.5 litre in 1,800 miles so apparently that is good.
Starting to extend the rev range now with a couple of full throttle 5,000 rpm blasts, this engine is just EPIC😳

Why not use all the revs, isn't it now fully run in?
Manual states 4,000 for first 1,800 then slowly extend rev range. Actually I am not sure how the heck I will ever be able to use much more than 5,000 rpm unless it's on the IoM or a track it's so b****y quick in comparison to my old 981.My Manual (p.15) states the running in period to be 1865 miles. After that it stipulates no restrictions.
Some mechanical sympathy/good practice, such as "don't labour an engine", " warm it up before working the engine hard" etc still apply, but no mention of gradually increasing the revs after the 1865 miles. That in itself seems like a highly conservative figure to me, but may be to allow for those owners who do lots of motorway miles which aren't exactly great for running in.
Mine has now done 2100 miles on day 30 of ownership, 300 of those on motorways.
200 ml of oil brought it back to the full indication.
Total measured mpg 30.33 which surprisingly is above the car's Trip Total of 29.1mpg
I consider it run in, and have used all the revs and "horror of all horrors" done a couple of launches. The later are fantastic, at about 40 mph it gets hooked up in 2nd and really starts to accelerate hard.
