Being advised these will be fairly restricted supply, not many coming in, perhaps 250 in total.....
Initial allocation... this is always the way.
No, thats total allocation. c02 targets etc, this is not going to be high volume.

So you're saying 250.. forever? or for this year?

If they are building GT4 and Spyder for the next until end of '21 why not the GTS also?
There will be more that 250 GT4 and 250 Spyder and they are top of the line.

That's a very low number for a regular model. That must be the 2020 allocation?

I can see the GTS 4.0, GT4 and Spyder being produced from now until the EV Cayster in 2022/2023.

Yep - this is what i think. Initial allocation which might only be for this year starting in Spring.
They have to split this engine across 4 cars now.

It also might be specific for 250 Manual cars for this year. That makes sense.
PDK will then come online and maybe another 300-400.

We have to read what is said and also what is not said

That would make sense re emissions. It'd still be a bit odd having restricted supply on a GTS model though.
The 718 will be around for a few more years? Or will it?
Are they gonna drop the 6 again?
The whole thing is a bit odd really..

The 718 will be around as-is until it switches to electric is my understanding.

Limited allocation might have something to do with profitability given the low UK price (at least at current FX) - probably rather sell more cars in Germany at a higher unit price

These cars will completely kill the comfort-spec GT4 market - anyone who specced one that way to flip is in for a surprise!

It's cheaper than the 718 Spyder than you tried so hard to get hold of...
I did not try hard, I asked one question, they said no I bought another car the same day, NOT Porsche.
that simple. NOT playing any OPC games ever again.

But now I have 5 cars, don't want to spend £78k on this atm. I don't drive the ones I have.

Correct. I've actually already driving the 718 GTS 4.0 at the PEC when I went! lol.

That comfort seat specced GT4 is the same...lol. I even called it GTS+.

The Python green is just a tad darker than Viper.

Also not sure how well it suits the 718 Cayman.

Weirdly as I have a green 987 and it looks the nuts.

but the GT4 ones were crap anyway !! people change the dampers on their GT4 if serious.
PASM sucks on GT cars.

hmm, only about 5K more than my trusty 981GTS for a similar spec. Tempting....

Although the 981 is still ticking all the boxes, and as enjoyable as the day I bought it.

Decisions, decisions indeed. This is the first option that has me even considering a change since I bought it.

so you would spec the comfort PASM which rides higher !!

the standard spec has the sports 20mm drop no cost.

I dont think co2 has come into it as vag group getting hit with a billion euro fine as no way will they meet an average of 95 co2 across the range at the end of 2021. I think they thought fook it we tried we failed ,

Just specd the Cayman and it comes in at under £70k.
Really don't think you need to go mad on options, the standard seats are good enough I just want to see an X73 option with buckets you then have your modern CR!

it's not straight forward imo, A lot of people will balls it up

"Just two features that speak for the PASM sports suspension with ride height lowered by 20mm in lightweight construction. For a little more ground clearance and comfort, the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) is also available with ride height lowered by 10mm."

if you tick the sports sus option you get the comfort one, is how I read it.

"Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) with ride height lowered by 10 mm"

Already had my order in for this since October last year. It appears nothing has changed spec wise bar the engine. Comparing the spec i did in October which was using the old GTS config against the 4.0 the price works out the same bar £1k.

The first world problem now though is at this price point were into 991.2 GTS money, which has already taken it's initial hit in deprication and is of course a 911 with more performance than a Cayman. Decisions decisions........
I’m struggling with exactly the same dilema. But manual GTSs are hard to find. And there is the F6T issue too. I don’t think I’d got for a 991.1GTS.
