You must be thinking of the graphite grey car we had.

This Greyblack car has 3 owners from new and I sold it to the last chap in April last year. The previous owner is buying a 3RS

Not a fan of that colour tbh. PTS to me should be something that really catches the eye. Decent price.

Saw a local gt4 at £60k but with a well buried CAT S category listed in the spiel.
The Cat S in the classifieds look a right dog from the pics a visit would not be needed. The steering wheel looks like it’s had a coat of oil on it !

"body repairs by specialist totalling £2,200 in March 2019" - yes, I'm sure £2,200 wrote it off and Cat S was just body repairs...rolleyes

Anyone else watching this:

https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/2016-porsche-9...

It looks to be a nicely spec’d, well looked after car in a good colour. Should be interesting to see what it goes for.

For some reason I’m wary of this auction site given some turds have been offered up on there in the past. Many also seem to get wrapped up in the ‘glamour’ of the platform, good pictures, presentation and description etc where some go for more than they’re worth when you add on the fees. Plus as an intermediary any comebacks are for the buyer to resolve with then seller. I think that car has been offered for sale before by the owner recently on another site(?)

I can add my 2p to this conversation.

This car was offered on CC last year:

https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/2019-porsche-7...

It didn’t sell at the time, and was then sold to Chester OPC.

I subsequently purchased it from them.

It was immaculate and exactly as described in the CC advert.

Buying direct from an OPC is a far far safer option with more comebacks and guarantees as they will have made everything good

Is that such a big deal if the car has a Porsche warranty on it?

Went for quite a good price, even with the 6% fee

I bought my previous 981 CS with from a Porsche indie, it still had some Porsche extended warranty running on it.
My GT4 was picked up from a small outfit specialising in Audis, BMWs, Merc etc.. they were happy to get it over to Porsche, at my request, for a 111 check. All good, extended warranty in place. Probably saved around £5k not buying direct from an OPC though I would have had the right car for me came up. There are good cars outside the OPC network, just need to be patient and sensible.

Would have got more selling it private as I suspect trade bids on it were above £61,500…………….

I think the buyer pays the fees on CC. The seller gets the full bid price.

Even with the fee, at 67.2 it’s a good price for the buyer (which is what I think R33FAL meant). The seller might have got a bit more than 64 selling privately, I agree.

Do we think prices are on the slide? I get the feeling that things have slowed a little. New cars are trickling back into production which will inevitably mean the used market slows down I guess.

Err………hasn’t the seller only got £61,500 ?

Agree good price for the buyer if it’s as good as it says it is irrespective of whether or not it’s got Porsche warranty. Even a Cat S and a scruffy car can still have the latter.

In terms of values I think prices are where I’d expect them to be as mileage is still a big factor on GT cars

That was a relatively low price for a good spec good provenance decent mileage late run 981 GT4.

A bargain.

I don't know why mileage is such a concern or issue as they are robust cars with proven engines. That same engine and transmission in other cars does mega mileage without major concern. The Americans seen to be more than happy thrashing the spuds off their GT4s and doing a lot of trackdays, which to be fair is where the cars excel

Buyer pays the collecting cars fees, so the seller gets £64k, buyer pays £67.8k

Pretty sure seller get the bid price (in this case £64k) and the buyer pays the fees on top of that. Either way sub £70k is pretty good.

100% this.
