This is the car recently sold on Collecting Cars for £81k plus fees (so £85.050) which means they’re selling it a loss of £55, and that’s before transport, valeting and costs for adding a warranty.Hmm, something not right about this one…
Games are being played by all dealers at the moment, I just heard a cracking story this evening basically a dealer texting a customer say if they sold there car out of the network is will effect them massively. To me that’s a sign of desperation by the dealer. The said dealer isn’t willing to make a sensible buy it price on the car and will apparently only SOR for half the profit. Not my words the car owners ??
Sad times ahead
I just bought a 20 reg from an OPC. Came with all the big ticket items: Clubsport / Buckets, CCB's, PDLS+, and a lovely interior spec with leather and contrast stitch everywhere. Came with a service, brand new tyres, and just shy of 3 years Porsche warranty. I paid £85k which is £10k less than the first owner paid - I'm more than happy with that.
I went in with my eyes wide open to the fact that the 'flipper-effect' on residuals had pretty much evaporated. I've no doubt that if I wanted to check-out of the car anytime soon, then I'be be taking at least a £10k financial bath on a trade-in, and at least a £5k bath if I found someone brave enough to buy it privately. Do I care? Not a jot! This car is awesome - worth every penny of what I paid! I see myself keeping it for a LOOOOONG time.
I get why some folks are anxious about the market. I'm not, but I suspect that it's always going to be comparatively 'healthy' for all flavours of the GT4. There's only about 1300 of them (981 and 718) in the UK, and it seems unlikely that that number will grow massively before production ends. This will never be a common car, and its GT heritage and universally agreed-upon awesomeness will see its financials perform more strongly than most others in similar performance / desirability categories.
Stop worrying and get out and enjoy driving the damn thing.

OPCs are on a bonus structure to retain customers. I had a similar situation recently when selling my 992Wilmslowboy said:

Most sold cars list the “winning bid” - the highest bid during the auction, and my experience is the 6% Fee is then paid on top (well direct to CC).In the case of this GT4 - the expression used is ‘sale price’, which in the past has implied this was a deal done outside the auction etc.
Id suggest a deal was done that mean AG ended up paying the sale price only £81k
The buyer worse case received £76,400 (sale price less 6%) but more likely CC discounted their fee to make the deal happen - which is set out in their terms as something they are allowed to do.

Sounds like you did exceptionally well there - nice one! scogins said:

That’s a cracking deal, especially given it’s a main dealer car too. What colour is it?I have a real soft spot for Miami blue. Spec looks good on this one, thoughts?

Black. It's apparently 'unfashionable' these days, so that was probably a factor in the price. I think it looks awesome though - so much so, that if I was speccing a new GT4 today, then I'd likely go for the same colour-scheme.

Great deal from opc - what was the mileage?
Ash good blue car reduced by £1k, now £84,995
Definitely a buyers market and big reductions possible on asking price. I think dealers are trying to hold advertised prices firm as long as possible but will take low bids to turn the stock
You are spot on, dealers are at a stage where they are trying to hold prices firm for as long as they can, but they have already reduced their wholesale bids on cars to by in by quite some margin. Ash good blue car reduced by £1k, now £84,995

They are just waiting to adjust prices.

Have to admit, that does look the bks with the yellow callipers. Such a good deal too! It's apparently 'unfashionable' these days, so that was probably a factor in the price. Have you collected it yet? If so, first impressions with some miles under your belt?

If it is the mid-sussed car then the c17k milage explains the 'good' price. Mileage shouldn't be a big issue but the market does seem to down-value higher than average milage cars.
Good buy for a car to properly use. Congrats. Not a collapse, but just basically a sensibly priced car given the mileage.
Carry on.
The Black car above is a great buy at £85k. I bought a very similar spec GT Silver example a couple of months ago and paid £95k for mine which was still under list. Mine also had new tyres all round and was a 70 plate, one owner car with 6k miles and never set foot on track judging by the unmarked paint on the thread of the tow ring.
Great cars for the money and feel so compact compared to all new 992s.
