Looks fairly tidy in the pics, the wheels need a bloody good clean though. How was it it person? Awfully nice of you to go and check on it for him, usually the internet is a pretty stty place but every so often something good comes of it smile

Trying to decide if I like that black side decal or not...
Cars not fully prepared yet. Did look really nice and sounded lovely. Then again I do like 981 GTs smile

I was at South London OPC at around 11am this morning, as my 981 CGTS needs an MOT and the warranty extended, and was going to look for the Racing Yellow 981 GT4 but only saw the Agate Grey one and an empty space next to it so it must have been out the back. Actually also worth mentioning that you now no longer have to have the 111 point inspection to extend the Porsche Warranty if your car is still within its warranty period which saved me £216 which was a result.

Haha, yes. I asked Jo to bring the car out so that I could take a quick look smile

Thanks for the offer . If you have time and ONLY if it is not ou your way have a look. The guy I was speaking to was called Joseph.
I have offered what I feel is a fair price for it at £67786. But they want £68,900.
So at present I have cooled my interest as weather has been so wet it has made me realise that , will I really us e it between now and March, so might be wise to take 91R's advice and keep looking as December could be a good month for a bargain. Plus it means 2-3 months that some one else can take the depreciation it.
Not sure which GT4 is being referred to here, but I’ll bet left gonad that it’s not ‘as good’ as my one owner, warrantied car with a mega spec, for not much more money.

Sorry, I hadn’t seen the pics of the yellow car when I posted above, so I assume that’s the car. Difficult to comment on exact condition without any interior pics but the wheels and exhaust pipes could be better, so a possible indicator of the overall condition.

It’s yellow, personal choice, but ask an OPC buyer about yellow GT4’s compared to other colours in terms of desirability. Looks like it has buckets, which is great for some but from talking to EvoSid I know he’s more suited to a non bucket car.

Just had new tyres fitted to my car and the wheels tidied up, there wasn’t much wrong with them other than a few normal stone chips, but that’s how I maintain my cars. The black wheels on the yellow car are shocking in my view. This is how a car for sale should look.

This from Friday on this thread which you seem to have forgotten you wrote already - I think you’re the one who needs the maths lesson - in my book >£3k for two services averages >£1.5k each - demonstrably rubbish.

And whilst your asking what I get upset by is you representing yourself as some sort of oracle on subjects you don’t know diddly squat about.
he squats but the rubbish still comes out of his mouth one very serious DH

Thanks MannLon for taking the time and trouble to not only view it but take some accurate pictures.
It does look goo but I really am not keen on those alloys but that is an easy fix with a refurb in a different colour
Need to have a good wee think about this now.
But I need to buy you a pint sir for going that extra mile , you are a gent and I thank you

I have had a chance to drive a GT4 with buckets and apart form getting out I really like them so they have become my number one choice now. \
Your car had a lovely spec but was just out by budget
This could be ok if I can get my head round owning a yellow car.....as an middle aged bloke it could be a bit too loud ......time for a serious think . Or time to just abandon / postpone the whole idea till next year as not many days left to enjoy it

I saw the photos of your car and it looks stunning and I feel it will sell very quick as it is a very good example forma very good person and 1 owner to boot .
Shame my finance company will only pay to dealers

Okay, I’ll recalculate my estimate. 64k + 2k warranty. They’ve not done any remedial work. Add 2k for profit so that’s 68k. Personally I would go to 69k if I really liked it. If it’s in okay condition then I’d stick to 68k.
Warranty for 2 years I s £1190
So 64,000 + 1190 + 2000 + 67190. So 68K is pretty fairs that our give them nearly £3k profit assuming they paid £64 cud be more , could be less
The test is would I get upset if I lost it for £1k.? Probably not as something else will come along

What was your thoughts on the car, condition, spec, tyres etc
Always good to get an independent enthusiasts opinion on it

Loved the overall look and sound. Did not take a look closely at the interior but seemed in good nick. I’m 51 but love loud colours and it was a head Turnersmile . Sat next to the black and grey GT4s the yellow was my pick.
Spec was good, but then I’m a minimalist and only need buckets. This one had climate etc. I like black wheels, these were in good condition but dirty.
With regards to mark up, an estimated 3k is the max I’d go to.

Thanks for you opinion it is much valued and appreciated
I guess we will not know what they paid for it etc.
So I guess best to work on a Max price I would be willing to pay.
My ideal Buffet is now about £65K but I could stretch to a £68k
Only issue is a friend is looking to off load his £100,308 718 GT4 in black for about £10k less than list, with about 1100 miles on it . But it is in black . I think lack of use and job uncertainty means he is keen to get rid of it just in car plus he does not use it , hence about 1100 mile since he got it
So is it £68-69k for a 5 year old car or £90K for a nearly new car . Just means I would have to fin another 20K but is it worth it ?
I hate these types of dilemmas as I am easily spooked

I usually avoid buying high value items off friends, perhaps some animosity if it goes wrong/breaks down, perhaps he will still treat it as if its his own, perhaps he may resent you for selling it on when he was forced to do so?

Can get a touch messy in my experience.

Ask yourself if you are willing to pay just a bit more relatively for a nearly new higher spec contemporary car with a much better engine which was £10k more new anyway.

Depreciation will probably be similar on both cars.

No brainer decision imo the 718 offers the better value especially when you factor in warranty costs and likely higher running costs on the older car.

Save your money and wait.... at this point with the weather turning, and restrictions coming, you arent gonna use the car much anyway, and you’ll just end up resenting making payments on something you can’t get value out of, it’s just going to be an anti-climax.

I’ve found, If you decide to do something like this (emotional) and just do it after a little prudent research that works best. If you over research and attempt to prognosticate, endlessly, you’ll end up disappointed and always thinking the grass is greener.

No worries as he would be very happy for me to have it as he can have a shot anytime as I can then have a shot of his new car so not really a forced sale but a reluctant planned sale on the way to relationship building within Porsche dealer lol
But I know what you mean
