Nope, he said shipping is all over the place at the moment and my car hasn't even been allocated a shipping date yet, and nether has the black one that has been there a week longer than mine. He said that once it's on the boat it is normally 2 weeks until I can take delivery.
Just had confirmation that my car is on the boat sheerness bound!
Looks like ours are/were on the same boat, just had the update from my SA, and to discuss handover dates.

I've scheduled Sat 16th to pick mine up smile

hadn't checked OPC used values since last summer and was surprised to see that the Cayman with most supply right now is...

the 718 GT4

not sure what to make of that

Sun's starting to appear, and so is track day season. Availability/movement of GT cars is always high at the start of this season, so these will be dealers capitalising on the weather, people moving from GT4 to GT3 and other p/x's . That number will drop off as we go into summer.

A few months ago we had the first 'hot' weekend, and the 22 available cars went down to 8 over just one weekend.

Considering over 750 718 gt4 are in the Uk I would say 32 cars for sale in opc network is a tiny % overall.

Don’t forget production is coming to an end shortly on the gt4 and the next gt4 isn’t going to be NA or even petrol, I’m sure many will be keepers due to this.

I think a few have been bought to flip as always, and I wonder if the GT4RS being unobtainable has brought in a few more via PDK GT4s as the next best thing.

Then there are always plenty of people who buy GT cars because they think they want one then don't get on with them.

Fluctuating numbers for sale is pretty normal.

all good points, but i would have thought that given there are fewer(?) GT4s than, say, base or S models that there would also be less for sale in proportion to those other models

i get that demand goes up in spring/summer but demand for standard versions (especially Boxsters) is seasonal too...

Thanks Phil! What with the factory allocation delays and then wondering if it was over going to be built due to the production delays, it's been quite the journey from when I first placed my order at the start of Aug last year, but it's nearly here! biggrin

anyway i don't want to derail the thread. just thought it was interesting that there are more GT4s for sale on the OPC network than any other Cayster

The difference between the 31 and 28 is Pre Owned vs Porsche Approved Pre Owned.

Who's your OPC?

Mine said the PDI is done at the port? Surely not?

My OPC is part of the PRG, so the PDI and prep is done at Reading. The car will then be transferred to my OPC a few days before I collect. smile

You could look at it another way, there about 770 718 gt4 cars in the Uk currently. 28 are currently for sale and approved by porsche, that’s about 3.5% of all Uk vehicles. Given the people who want to buy these cars all want their perfect spec car which differs for all, that doesn’t give a used car buyer much choice!

I’m in the middle of advertising mine as I want a 991 gt3 and I can tell you it’s bloody hard to find a car in the condition I want with the spec I want!

Has anyone had any news regarding there build being delayed?

There’s a lot of conversation on the 992 availability thread suggesting a 6-8 week delay although I’m not too sure that relates to GT4 builds too?

Spec locks on mine 8th July with collection being around mid September, I’m hoping it’s not any later otherwise it will be straight in the garage until 2023 cry

P.S. Still no yellow stitching available on the GT4 configurator rotate

Mine was originally due to complete build at the end of April. Now showing closer to mid-July so nearly there. Will be good to have it some time in August, all being well.

I've said all along that I wouldn't believe it until I saw it. Well Reading HQ finally sent over pictures to my OPC today, after it landed with them last week...

Wow, I'm in love! Roll on the 16th for pick-up! cloud9

Looks great … when did you lock spec and the original delivery date? I’m an April build still waiting - apparently in build this week.
