Wouldn’t be surprised to see discounts on new cars as per 2009-2012!
Unlikely. This is broadly a pipedream for many far cheaper 'vanilla' new car buyers of mainstream models never mind new restricted run Porsches and even basic models such as the standard Carrera which still has a c2 year lead time. New Carrera S now £103k and GTS £114k before options and long lead times. GT4 now £81700 an increase of over £6k since late 2020!
Until volume increases substantially which it can't due to the supply chain issues continuing, manufacturers are still playing catchup from previous years demand and this looks set to continue together with rapidly rising production costs reflected in rising new car prices. Even Vauxhall last Wednesday increased the price of its new cars by up to £2225 in an attempt to cover rapidly rising costs.
Margin ££ has replaced volume for most mainstream car manufacturers thus broadly adopting the highly profitable and successful Porsche marketing strategy.

IMO Arctic Grey is very disappointing in the metal, very dull & underwhelming.
Agree. It looks good on the 4RS when broken up by carbon parts as per Weissach Pack. But doesn’t work with bigger coverage like this. Or certainly needs some other accents to contrast… so wheel colour other than satin platinum IMO.

I've just bought a used 718GT4 and paid about £7.5k less than it would cost new today including tax. As mentioned above there are more than plenty to choose from, however I was very fussy on spec. I only wanted a Manual, PCCB, Full leather, LWBS,Clubsport, LED+, BOSE, Camera, Climate and Auto wipers/mirrors.
There are also plentiful 991GT3s and 992GT3s for sale at silly prices and not shifting. Spec is key and there are a lot of £718GT4s in very much poverty spec and asking 'overs' which will never sell unless they reduce prices by £5-10k.
Paid well under list for a good spec. OPC car , that will upset those who said it wouldn’t happen and those who ordered just for the overs! There are also plentiful 991GT3s and 992GT3s for sale at silly prices and not shifting. Crystal ball says a few sub £80k cars by end of year!

Supply was a lot less in 2011 but I personally had 17% discount on a a limited supply model lol! And the 997 gt3 they couldn’t give away!
It may or may not happen again but it has happened in the past!
Agree and 17% is remarkable but the market for Porsche 10 years ago was totally different to the current one this changing structurally in 2013 with the 991.1 GT3 despite rising numbers to 332 UK cars. And despite the large rise in latter day GT Porsche manufacturing numbers e.g. c600+ 981 GT4s these cars are still retailing over list ££ even at 7+ years old and good spec cars still sell very quickly often before advertising. It may or may not happen again but it has happened in the past!
Equally it is quite incredible to think that there were discounts available on the final run Ferrari Speciales a good number of new cars which sat languishing in showrooms unsold.

OPC Colchester seem to be breeding black 718 GT4's all of a sudden...the one with the gold wheels has hung around for a bit now tooIt may or may not happen again but it has happened in the past!

This has largely been fuelled by low interest rates and after 10+ years this is changing and it’s now going to be case of paying the mortgage or the expensive toy.Good cars will always sell but the market is flooded with GT cars compared to pre 2011.
None of us know how it will pan out but it doesn’t look good, but with rising interest rates the amount of customers in the used buying market is shrinking.
Buy the car you want, can afford to lose money and enjoy!

Having said all that, what the hell do I know, colour is subjective and I drive a green one.

I find the thing about colours is what’s loved today is loathed in the future and visa verse a bit like interior decor of a home, a lot of folk don’t like Guards red but personally I love it and it’s a standard colour that been around a long time but yellow of any shade is a no for me
^ I`ve checked the Dutch Porsche configurator after above remarks on Rennlist. (I live in the Netherlands)
I ordered a GT4RS 09-2021 and LED PDLS +, ETA april 2023, the dealer informed me a month ago these lights wouldn't be possible on the 2023 production cars.
I still want those lights, I `ve said my OPC to postpone my order until these lights are available.
Checked the configurator and the LED PDLS + can be configured !
FWIW
Arctic Grey is a very dull, uninspiring color I agree
Primer indeed as some said here before
I would say; Garbage Bag Grey, no offense :-)
