The new LED unit is apparently exactly the same as the Xenon PDLS unit, but with a LED beam cone instead of Xenon beam cone. There's no camera etc as there was with the LED PDLS+.

I ordered a GT4RS 09-2021 and LED PDLS +, ETA april 2023, the dealer informed me a month ago these lights wouldn't be possible on the 2023 production cars.

I still want those lights, I `ve said my OPC to postpone my order until these lights are available.

Checked the configurator and the LED PDLS + can be configured !

I’ve just checked. And PDLS+ is not available on UK configurator for GT4 or GT4RS. Only LED PDLS (non-plus) are available in the UK.

And really glad that everyone has an opinion on the colour that I’ve chosen for my new car :-)

As I said, all the reports are suggesting the previous LED PDLS+ unit has now gone for good, and this new LED PDLS unit is exactly the same unit as the Xenon PDLS, just with a LED beam instead of Xenon beam, so it's the same four dot DRL on both now.

I guess we won't know for 100% until we've seen it though, there's still the possibility this new LED unit is a stripped version of the previous PDLS+ unit, time will tell.

I’ve a GTS 4.0 order c.Q423/Q124… there is a lot of chat about PDLS+ lights. Excuse my ignorance but what should I know? I’m not that bothered about lights, I do like my Audi Q7 matrix lights and my 997.1 lights are a bit rubbish…but surely the boggo lights in a new Porsche Cayman GTS are good enough (or so I thought)

Don't worry they are.

I have ordered the standard lights (except PDLS on the current GT3) on all my Porsches incl GTs for years and have never been disappointed with their performance.

I just want that car the way I've specced it a year ago, no more, no less.

Everyone makes his own choices, and that's just fine, I've made mine.

There is no choice what so ever on lights

Standard Xenon, and no possible alternative in Germany.


I`m not optimistic on the short term availability LED PDLS plus.

Coincidently there's an Oak Green (with Sofas) currently for sale at OPC Solihull, there's also a well specced Rubystar car which was added yesterday at OPC South Lakes.

Newcastle have a Rubystar but also with sofas. Actually Newcastle had 3 GT4's in the showroom all with sofas.
