For context, Ive owned multiple Porsche's inc GT4,3 and RS but never bought one new from any dealer. Only history with OPC is servicing.
I tried several dealers a couple of months back and all said that they had no more allocations coming through because of the RS. I didn’t have any buying history with them so this might have been rubbish but I haven’t heard of anybody receiving a slot since. You can still build your own on the configurator on the Porsche website, but I very much doubt that you will be able to get a build slot. A friend got a PDK GT4 allocation from a non local OPC with zero buying history from them or any opc. He promptly flipped is so I guess that shows why they are reluctant to sell to an unknow.
The only reason I would go new is I would want PTS. If that wasnt available I would just buy used.
Im not scared of a used one, even with a few miles. I owned the 981 GT4 press car for a while and it was the most reliable porsche ive owned.

Good fortune I suppose and I have no Porsche buying history. I guess it was good timing and I'm helping them resell the car. If you don't enquire, you'll never know.
