GT4RS what mileage was on yours?
I managed about 600 miles from mid March to June, before I got fed up with it.

Id say that pretty good going looking at these 4 year old 2019 plate cars with with only 2 thousand miles on the clock from new.

How old and how many miles have you done in your cars?

You have quite a list of cars don’t you, am I correct in thinking you currently have?

991.2 GT3
718 GT4
Ferrari 488
Two of the new lotus sports car, sorry don’t know the name of them.
Mclaren 570s

Did you manage to do many miles in your GT2 RS before you sold it on, I assume that wasn’t a very useable road car hence why you sold it straight away?

Due to carbon bucket seats still not being available I have notified the OPC that I no longer want my GT4 allocation. I'm sure it would still be a great car without them, but it would constantly niggle me not getting the specification that I wanted.

There are loads up on the classifieds section, easy enough to take your pick based on spec desired

The lack of options does make it a tough sell at the moment, and to be frank, it’s not like those for sale have done anything in the way of miles anyway

I agree, and the bonus is that it gives me more time to sort out other things instead of having to rush around to accommodate a car that doesn't meet my requirements.

I'd have done the same or hunted for a lightly used one in my spec.
Hence why there are currently no 718's for sale In the network with PDLS, PCCB, CS, PDK and 918 seats.

Makes perfect sense, no point spending all that money on a new car and it missing key items you want.

I find it odd that porsche have decided not to supply their buckets in one of their GT products, in my opinion porsche are not the company they used to be.

I’m aware of someone who has just cancelled their gts Macan due to no Bose being available when they had to lock spec and due to the big jump in the cost of borrowing from when they placed their deposit.

You won’t be the only one cancelling your order.

So you think they're holding back certain spec items on purpose?

As I understand it, it's a supply thing. There are the 911 Dakars, GT3s and GT3RSs which need buckets right now, plus they're standard fitment on the GT4RS so they have to have them too. Something has to give, so it's the GT4 which is ending production shortly according to all available info.

Buckets currently 'unavailable' on new GT3 spec configurator too so it isn't an issue specific to GT4s.

Didn't know that as I have zero interest in GT3 specs biggrin

So the GT4RS and GT3RS cars plus the 911 Dakar have them as standard fit, so they have to have them available for orders. That'll be the problem them I guess, not enough to go round on cars where they are optional.

No I think it’s down to the far higher numbers of new porsche gt cars now being produced worldwide, build numbers have flown up and keep increasing. Certain low volume specialist suppliers to Porsche can’t cope with the increased production.

Sadly Porsche is becoming more main stream like BMW and Mercedes, they will allocate the parts to the cars which make them highest margins.

Ahh yes of course.
All the other car manufacturers with 2-year + lead times must also be doing the same.
Gotcha.

I would imagine the likes of Mclaren and Ferrari have always had far longer lead times over porsche and can manage their material supply better. I guess their clients are probably used to waiting longer as well.

I wasn't thinking of McLaren or Ferrari.
Pretty much all mainstream manufacturers have massively extended lead times due to shortages.

Not all, just ordered and bought 3 new vehicles from Nissan for employees and we had all three in less than 3 months.

Even porsche have a huge over supply of brand new cayennes at the moment.

Dealers would like you to think we are still in covid market, but things have changed.
